  • 1-How did your interest for computers start? Which year was that?

  • It started around 1986-87 I guess. With the C64. Playing games with friends.
I never had a C64 though. But when a friend of mine got an Amiga 500 and I
discovered Soundtracker in 1989, I just knew I had to get a computer. I was
never interested in the games after that.

  • 2-What machines did you previously have? What did you do with them?

  • The first computer I ever had was an Amiga 500. I still have it, but I rarely
ever use it anymore. Now I have a PC.

  • 3-For what specific reason did you end up making music rather than gfx, coding?

  • Music was the only thing that interested me, so the choice was simple. I just
loved the fact that I could sit at home and make music, without having to buy
expensive equipment like synths and stuff. I always wanted a synth, and I'm
    still thinking about buying one.

  • 4-Which composing programs have you been using? Which one in particular?

  • Soundtracker, Noisetracker but mostly Protracker when that was released. I
also used Future Composer a little bit.

  • 5-With which module did you feel you had reached your goal?

  • None of them. I think they are fun to listen to now and then, but they are not
very good in my opinion. But at the time I was satisfied with a track called
"Alacrity" that was used in a small intro by Reflect.

  • 6-Is there a tune you would like not to remember? For what reason?

  • Most of the tunes I made sounds like shit today. But I still have them all on
my PC just for the memory.

  • 7-In your opinion, what's the value of a music in a demo, game?

  • In a demo it's very important. I usually didn't like a demo if the music was
crap. In a game I'm not sure, since I almost never played any games.

  • 8-At present, are you still composing? For professional or leisure purposes?

  • Yes, I'm still composing a little bit. After I left the Amiga scene in 1993 I
didn't compose anything for 7 years. But then I discovered Modplug Tracker on
the PC, and started tracking a little bit again. Just for the fun of it! :)

  • 9-What do you think of today's pieces of music such as mpeg,wave,midi,etc...?

  • I think it's great. Mp3 is brilliant!

  • 10-Could you tell us some of your all times favourite tunes?

  • There is a lot of good old Amiga mods, like :

    Klisje Paa Klisje by Walkman
3D Demo Tune by Mad Freak
Most tunes by Firefox, Tip & Mantronix
    Chuckrock by 4-Mat
    12th Warrior by Dr.Awesome
    Kikka-Waltz by Heatbeat
    Overture by Jogeir Liljedahl
    Knulla Kuk by Moby
    Chant by Nightlight
    + many more

  • 11-Are you planning to make an audio cd with some of your music remastered?

  • Nope!

  • 12-What bands are you currently listenning to?

  • I'm mostly into rock music like NOFX, Slipknot, Linkin Park, Bad Religion,
old Metallica, Nirvana, old Pearl Jam, Rage Against The Machine, Iron Maiden,
    Black Sabbath and many more...

  • 13-What does/did the amiga/c64 scene give you?

  • It gave me a lot of friends and good times. I always think back at those years
with great memories. :) And sometimes I even miss it. Although I wouldn't go
    back!

  • 14-Are you still active in the scene these days?

  • No.

  • 15-Anyone to greet? Anything left to say? Feel free...

  • I'd just like to greet everybody who knew me back then. Especially all the
nice people in Reflect! Big one to you Devil! If any of you read this, it
would be great to hear from you!

And greetings to the musicians I admired : Tip, MTX, Firefox, Jester, Nuke,
Moby, Dr.Awesome, Romeo Knight, Heatbeat, 4-Mat and all the rest.
