    Date of birth: 21.06.1974

  • 1-How did your interest for computers start? Which year was that?

  • I think I got my first computer (a Commodore C-116) when I was 12, this was
in the year 1986... I was always interested in technical things...so it was
a good start into the "World of Commodore" and into bits and bytes...

  • 2-What machines did you previously have? What did you do with them?

  • After the good old C-116 I bought a C-64 to play games and to try making
sid-tunes, which failed due to lack of time... At the age of 16 I was the
proud owner of an Amiga 500 with an amount of incredible 1 Megabyte RAM
...lol...and this was my platform to create own songs...

I made my first music-steps in the group "Venator"...then after a period of
1 year I joined "Reality"! ...Many greets to da Kiwi's! All former members
lived in New Zealand and I took over the European HQ for a period of 6
    months.

But after a request of a good old friend I joined the German Division of
Vanish/Ministry. Two years later I entered a group called The Dreamdealers...
but not for so long because the German Division of DD wasn't so cool...So I
joined Platin...We created a message-center called "GENERATION" and this mag
was charted at 2nd place in the famous Euro-Charts...(Hey Damian..meld Dich
mal...will mal wieder in die "Scheune"..lol)

I can't even remeber my time in "Logic" and in "Gothic" because it was too
    short and too long ago...

P.S.: In the first year of my scene-life I had 20-30 mail contacts for
"swapping" demos but I gave them up to concentrate on composing mods

So far...last year (2001) I bought an standard Amiga 1200...to listen to mods
on da old Protracker...it really sounds better than fasttracker / madtracker /
winamp cause of da original sound-chipset...

I tuned up that machine with a 68030 Turbocard, 8MB Fast EDO Ram and a 4,3
GB 2,5" Toshiba HD..this really rockz. But I still prefer my PC's...

  • 3-For what specific reason did you end up making music rather than gfx, coding?

  • Uhhh...I tried both, and I could not find any special interest in gfx or
    coding...

  • 4-Which composing programs have you been using? Which one in particular?

  • My first composing program I used was Soundtracker as far as I can remember...
but not for so long... a little bit later I turned to the famous "Protracker"
....and with my PC I "now" use Fasttracker 2.09 and under Win2000/XP I use
    MadTracker because of non-DOS support...

  • 5-With which module did you feel you had reached your goal?

  • I never reached any goal!...I was satisfied when my friends said:

Hey, your modules sound quite good! That was my only goal...that people say
that my music is ok and worth listening!!

  • 6-Is there a tune you would like not to remember? For what reason?

  • I often listen to my old, first unreleased songs with a little smile...but I
would say that every song is worth to remember...nothing to say more here

  • 7-In your opinion, what's the value of a music in a demo, game?

  • I think music is the most important part after coding/code-design for a
demo/game... Cool "in-game" music even helps not so code/gfx-skilled demos
to become well-known That's the point.

  • 8-At present, are you still composing? For professional or leisure purposes?

  • no, not at all

  • 9-What do you think of today's pieces of music such as mpeg,wave,midi,etc...?

  • I think midi offers a quite huge amount of possibilities, so wave and mpeg...
    but wave and mpeg...have a big disadvantage...their size!... ): but I prefer
.mp3 the most innovate compression-algorithm for years
    (thanks to the Frauenhofer-institute!!)

  • 10-Could you tell us some of your all times favourite tunes?

  • Random Voive - Monday
    Unkown Artist - Space Debris
    Mr.Man - Restricted
    Moby - Knulla Kuk
    Nuke - Gold Return
    Purple Motion - Unreal

as you can see - I prefer OldSkool!!

  • 11-Are you planning to make an audio cd with some of your music remastered?

  • no

  • 12-What bands are you currently listenning to?

  • Simon Says, Lifer, Farmer Boys, 40 Below Summer, White Zombie, Machine Head...
    and to similar stuff

  • 13-What does/did the amiga/c64 scene give you?

  • I liked the scene very much...All that meetings at the Commodere-Exhibition
in cologne, all that cool parties, all the guys I met...this was a very
    positive experience for me...

  • 14-Are you still active in the scene these days?

  • no, I am not longer active...for about 7 years now...but who knows...maybe
I'll be back in da near future

  • 15-Anyone to greet? Anything left to say? Feel free...

  • Hey...yo...I want to greet my friends Cooper/Elicma and Touchstone/Essence
(I think Touchstone is one of the best Amiga and PC-Coder ever! - Hey
Thomas...wir haben uns ja ne Ewigkeit nicht gesehn... wohnst nur n Steinwurf
    entfernt...aber...aber...das Studium...ich weiss...:P)
