  • 1-How did your interest for computers start? Which year was that?

  • I thought of buying a vic20 when the c64 was released so i bought the
c64 instead. It had a great sound with the SID chip and it had real gfx
not like vic20. So i think the year was sometime after 82. This is how
i got the interest in computers.

  • 2-What machines did you previously have? What did you do with them?

  • Somewhere between 87 - 89 i bought my first
amiga. My friend showed me the game Xenon1 and i think that the music program
was called Sonix. When i saw this i decided to buy the a500. But i had no
money so i had to earn it and bought it. Then i bought the a600 and after that
an a1200. Then i bought a1200 with tower but the zorro was not working.
Finally i bought my a4000 1999-02 and this is my lovely computer. Bought mediator
in 2002-02 so i could use live soundblaster and mpeg card. But that drivers never
    come :'( So i bought voodoo5, SB128 and ethernet.

  • 3-For what specific reason did you end up making music rather than gfx, coding?

  • I was always at my cosin called DJ Micro (not the USA dj) while he mixed at
home. I enjoyed all the music. All from hardrock, synth to techno/house.
And i love to dance as i was on many rave partys in the 90's. In 80's i went to
    discos listening to my cousin.
I do gfx too but only for our homepage and i like to draw images influenced to
technotrance style. Coding i have tryed to and i did some intros for hitek
and did a gfx ripper that had no save option. hehe. Too bad i stop coding as
i could make my own midiprogram. So music i have never left as you hear it
everyday, on radio, partys etc etc.

  • 4-Which composing programs have you been using? Which one in particular?

  • Sonix, protracker, tryed digibooster but when i bought my synthesizer Roland
JD800 i went to miditracker called tracks&fields. A friend called Anders made
it and when he bought pc he did a better version but i cant find it anywhere
    for pc.

A friend called Dick took over the coding but he left amiga too. So another
friend Jonas made some updates and he's tired of it. Today Error that are the
coder of fryingpan is trying to do an more systemfriendly update. This version
will be the last one as the code is not easy to update. All the coders knows
it. So i will move to another program. Maybe bars&pipes, octamed, HDrec or ASeq.

Im waiting for the final version of HDReq and ASeq and ofcourse the one that
works on A1+OS4 i will use.

  • 5-With which module did you feel you had reached your goal?

  • Old goal: Hard one.... Sommartider, alien busters and rock is alive is the
goals. The police.... is the one i remade totally as everybody said i will win
with the original on a party here in Sweden but a guy removed his electric
cable and the tune was not complete saved. I had only diskdrive that time.
    No luck.

New goal: We have unreleased music that is really kicking but i cant write about
this yeat so with old transplant music i think Earth quake, deep inside and luke
skywalker was our goal too. For Emulate we have Strange feelings as it was the
first we played on bigger club. Made on amphetamine was my old girls favourite.
Nahhh... All the tune has it rememberings. My goal today is a tune called Drum
attack but its not finished yeat.

  • 6-Is there a tune you would like not to remember? For what reason?

  • Not really. Love letter was a tune i made after my girl left me but thats
nothing to forget either. Trapped in space was really great tune but i had a HD
crash and i only had a old copy so the tune is not near what the original was.
Too bad as it was kickin. Now its making you turn it off.

  • 7-In your opinion, what's the value of a music in a demo, game?

  • Music is very important just like the code and the gfx. Everything has to work
together and be a mirror of itself. I was never a fan of the jazzy type of
demomusic but i liked it. Demos with techno/trance/house/ambient i loved really
much. Everynbody has its favourites. I loved also jazzy demos too.

  • 8-At present, are you still composing? For professional or leisure purposes?

  • Im only making music for leisure but i hope it to be for profesional like
working with it. But you can call it professional too as we play on clubs too.
We are trying to get a record deal if we find a interested record company.
We will send some demos. And i will see if i will buy me a Virus C synthesizer
as the one i have is not enough. But the virus is expensive. Buying a PC and
using softwaresynthesizers is much cheaper but as im an amigian i will not do
that. I rather use more money and use my amiga as sequencer.

  • 9-What do you think of today's pieces of music such as mpeg,wave,midi,etc...?

  • I think its really great. Especially mp3 as it can be played on every computer
system no mather which composer program you used. I prefere Ogg Vorbis format
as its free and open. Midi is great too especially for amiga musicians that has
not CPU's like pc and macs. We have no programs like fruity loops, reason,
storm, qbase etc for audio. Then midi is good as it doesnt take much cpu. The
synthesizer is doing the CPU's work.

  • 10-Could you tell us some of your all times favourite tunes?

  • If you mean our then its surely our new tune called 5th element but its made
on PC. With amiga for sure our tune deep inside and unreleased drum attack.
Kataka Ra is also one unreleased the we have both a ambient and a trance
version of. Amiga mods i cant say much about as i have forgotten the names
of. I remember a demo called vertical, some redsector demos etc.
I havent seen demos for ages. Because of no time and virus.

  • 11-Are you planning to make an audio cd with some of your music remastered?

  • Not really. I made a remix of made on amphetamine. In future we will surely
remix some of the old stuff. Some on pc and some on my future AmigaOne.

  • 12-What bands are you currently listenning to?

  • Im not listening music at home anymore. At work i listen to radio which is
awfull as i hear the tunes over and over. At partys i listen to what the DJ's
are playing. However i have a band i like and thats Planet Ben - ant attack.
Older favourite is stakker - humanoid. Others are Sven veth, carl cox,
jeff mills etc... Im not good in band names or tune names.

  • 13-What does/did the amiga/c64 scene give you?

  • Everything. It made me interest for computers. All games, demos etc. I like
rob hubbard and many other great musicians. Delta and lightforce is my
favourite games that has great music in it. Lightforce i have always dreamed
of making a remix but did never do it. If i buy a virus C i will probably do
it. Roland JD800 has not what i need. JD800 is great in single mode but in
    multi its so dry.

  • 14-Are you still active in the scene these days?

  • Nope. I dont check demos. I dont make any music for demo groups or game music.
But surely if there were any interested game company i could do music for it.
    Anything for amiga.

  • 15-Anyone to greet? Anything left to say? Feel free...

  • All the amiga community. Musicians, coders, gfx, users, demomakers... everyone...
Oh yeas specially Error that made fryingpan :) And all you on AMP :)

Im sad becuase of the amigasplit... Amiga vs morphos. I like morphos but i dont
think it has the same future. Today amiga has not much users and if you split
that in two than its even less. And i know that the most of the amigians will
choose AmigaONE + OS4. Specially users that send their PPC cards to DCE and
never got them back or got them after a year on unrepaired. Bplan is using their
machine to do do the cards and we all know the quality of these cards. But i
cant say too much as probably they are better today ?! I wish that they would
go together and make OS5. Both has great coders.
