Later in 1990 I bought myself an A2000 and started as a swapper in a small group and later on left them again to gain more fame. With Odyssey by Alcatraz everything started in my composing time. a CPC 6128 for playing games, an A2000 C to start composing, a CD32 with SX1 module (still owning it) and a PC133 Well, I was really impressed by the work done by Greg in the Odyssey demo by Alcatraz and also had two good friends with Moby and Chrylian who visited my former group just a few weeks before. Afterwards I started doing some work with soundtracker (yep, the very first one) and ended up sending my results to Greg, Moby and Chrylian for some critics. Greg was such a nice person to correct my failures in during my first compositions and finally I ended up a musician by myself As I stated before, I started with soundtracker V1.0 , moved from SID and AON to Noisetracker and ended finally, on the Amiga side of the scene, in Protracker V2.3b (I personally like this one best). On the PC I am using Screamtracker and Fasttracker. It was a cooperation between Chrylian and me using some old samples from a motorcylce game. The sound itself is called Iron Wheels and we ended up 1st at the Doomsday party 1994 in Germany. Surely my biggest success. In nowadays I prefer looking back to that time. Another great success was the tune for ALIEN , a Scoopex demo that ended up 3rd in a democompetition. That is a hard question. I personally do not like the techno things I did as it is not the style of music I prefer in my spare time. Even though some of them are quite nice. The lamest release I do not like to remember is the "New Style Intro" by Analog, there I did the music for. The samples and the tune itself really sucks and I think that this one is surely the worst tune I ever did. It is as necessary as the code and finishes the design for it. If the music does not fit into the demo everything sucks as hell, so I think that the music is one of the main important things in a demo. I do both. Demos and Professional as well. As you might know, I do some music for porn movies and also will have a bigger appearance in one of germanys biggest TV-Stations. Let us see what will happen. As well I do some music for some "scene" related things. Generation , Seenpoint as diskmags and also for an upcoming sounddisk by me that will be coded by Vention with Gfx by Zack/spaceballs. A demo with my music will be released and a wilddemo is planned as well. Sometimes I like the wave and midi things as I use a PC as well and the time does not suck when you have enougth ram, but I prefer "real" music much more. "Oh no a demossong" by 4-Mat, "Odyssey Part I" by Greg/Alcatraz, "Raging hard" by Moby, just to mention a few I really like. Of course there are some more, but it would let this file colide if I would name them all. I do this as well, as porn music requires an audio CD, but I surely will not do one audio CD on my own. Rockbitch asked me to do an introduction tune for their new album and I will compete in a "Zillo" Darkwave sampler with one of my tunes as well which is still in the making. I like EBM, Industrial, Gothic and Darkwave. My favourite groups at this point of time are Moonspell, Deine Lakaien, Die Form, London after Midnight, Rosenstolz, Project Pitchfork and Front Line Assembly Well, I think it is the fame. Not that I am one of the best musicians or even just a real famous one, but I do my work and people listen to it. It makes you some kind of immortal to know that you will live forever as long as somebody has a disk or CD containing my music. Yes , I am. Especially on the Amiga and PC scene. On the Amiga system I am a member of Scoopex and on the PC I am a member of ACME. Prepare yourself for a stunning sounddisk by me soon.. ! Well, I want to thank all of the persons who helped me to understand Protracker and Fasttracker (of course I also thank those persons who keep on improving that soundcomposing stuff). I would like to greet all those guys I consider as freinds in the scene (I think you know who you are !). All the best with your project, Crown ! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- please note: this interview is ©opyrighted in 2001 by crown of cryptoburners ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
