  • 1-How did your interest for computers start? Which year was that?

  • I saw lots of SciFi-movies when I was small. Fascinated by huge Space-Ships
and a universe full of stars and galaxies and the technics used to
remove alien intruders and robots, my uncle
showed me, with what kind of machines he has to do at work. That may
have been anno domini 1983. My life changed...

  • 2-What machines did you previously have? What did you do with them?

  • My first computer was a small kit with LCD. Stearing play-trains. Made obsolete
by CBM's 128'er. Cool thing, but only C64'er software available. :-( He wasted
my time with games and some boring coding.
Then came the Amiga 2000B. Very cool B-] I instantly learned Ass and coded some
intros and demos. Noone else I knew had an Amiga, too, so no Sounders around.
I got a Soundtracker and the nightmare began...
Now the silicon thing on my table is Intel-inside with Linux.

  • 3-For what specific reason did you end up making music rather than gfx, coding?

  • This is the End, my friend, the end as we know it.
I still "save as..." some Mods on my harddisk when time goes by,
and I still code some stuff, and I still let my hands off gfx.

  • 4-Which composing programs have you been using? Which one in particular?

  • Soundtracker, Noisetracker, Startrekker, ProTracker (best ever),
    Fasttracker now (hate it)

  • 5-With which module did you feel you had reached your goal?

  • The way is the goal. Does anyone really reach his goal, ever?
Reach the perfection and the evolution stops. No evolution -> no life!

  • 6-Is there a tune you would like not to remember? For What reason?

  • Hmm, at least no. Maybe I just forgot, what I don't want to remember.
Who does remember? As my good old friend Mr Alzheimer told me, .. wait
    what are we .. talksirhmwaeh

  • 7-In your opinion, what's the valour of a music in a demo, game?

  • Music is VERY important. It creates an atmosphere and underlines the plot.
A nice tune values up what I see.

  • 8-At present, are you still composing? For professional or leisure purposes?

  • When I have the chance to use a tracker, that does not annoy me, I will
go on to "make some noise". Just for leisure. It diffuses my neurons
between coding. Maybe composing isn't the right word. It's more that I want
to try, to create some specific atmosphere or test my inabilities to
build a sound that came to me from outo' space.

  • 9-What do you think of today's pieces of music such as mpeg,wave,midi,etc...?

  • MP3 is a very nice thing. For swapping "real" music it's a good choice.
Let's me choose, what I want on a good CD :-)
Wave: It originated on PC. Who cares?
midi: You can get some nice midi's on the net. But without the right sound-card,
    or patch-set it kills me.
Mods or xm's and other tracker-formats are OK. Not the ultimate solution, yet.
For a good old computer-freak, the CD-tracks on todays games are a bit boring.
But I remember, how frustrated I was about the missing the C64-style
synthy-tunes on Amiga-Games after upgrading. Just those "easy to make"
    boring sampled instruments!

  • 10-Could you tell us some of your all times favourite tunes?

  • A lot of demos and games had giant mods. But now these 4-channel mods
seem to sound too computerish to me.

  • 11-Are you planning to make an audio cd with some of your music remastered?

  • No.

  • 12-What bands are you currently listenning to?

  • Dead Can Dance, Sisters of Mercy, Cure, Pink Turns Blue, ...

  • 13-What does/did the amiga/c64 scene give you?

  • Don't ask what the scene can give you, ask what you can give the scene!
Although hardly anyone will still remember TDD, I think we were a group
that created a real image. We lived as we presented us. What exhibitionistic,
eh? I got a lot of friends, met cool guys (where are the dolls?), got
phun at parties, and just had FUN!

  • 14-Are you still active in the scene these days?

  • Is there a scene still active these days? I don't know. I would like
to be, but these days are different from those days, and as every man
on this globe I got no time left never ever.

  • 15-Anyone to greet? Anything left to say? Feel free...

  • Of course as a good mannor, I would like to greet all dudes, I had contact
with, may it be some swapping, or coding-discussions or just at parties.
BUT: The Internet is cool, but it is nicer to have some sessions, meetings
parties offline! Just visit your contacts and take part in real life.
The cyberspace is endless, but the number of states your computer can have
    is not!

    And Never Forget
    To Allways

    Feel The Darkness
