It was because they sold it at a warehouse called OBS! ;) It must have been like -84, -85 or something. The computer ended up to be a Sinclair ZX Spectrum 48K. I had endless problems with it... Sinclair ZX Spectrum. - Trying to get the games to load. They almost never did... Commodore 64. Playing games, mainly. Amiga 500. Misc stuff, mostly pixeling and playing games until I started to compose music. Amiga 1200 Music mainly PC 486, Music mainly. PC Pentium etc.. Music, gamedevelopment, playing games (I can't lie. I love doing that) I have no specific reason. I just loved the tracker programs when they came first, -88 or something like that. All Sound/Protracker on the Amiga, and Fasttracker 2 for the PC. I tried Scream tracker and Impulse Tracker a few times, but programs without full mouse support scare the living daylights out of me. That's a very hard question to answer. I never had any real 'hits' More that more and more people found out about them. *Chuckle* Yes.. I think it's even on my www page. "Return of the fat Irma. " The instruments are terrible tuned, and the break with a Chewbacka sample is all but good. First of course, it has to create the right mood, just like a movie soundtrack. Many different styles could be good for the same thing, it's just that people interpret things differently. Though of course if it's a memorable song, a melody/harmony/sound which you remember, as always with good music. Yep I am! Both. =) General MIDI is a horrible format, forcing you to use a standard setup of instruments. I never use it. I use MIDI of course with synths to make audio recordings afterwards, for CDs etc, but that's different. Mpeg is a good and very useful music format. Gives you the chance to put a real recording in a small piece of data. Wave is.. well.. wave.. Wave files are samples no more no less. Used for numerous different purposes. Hmm.. I have a few.. Let me see. "Overload" by Mantronix is a definate favourite. It's extremely well thought and hard worked. I kind of like "Banana Split" by Dizzy also. Has some kind of synth and jazz combined that adds lots of charm to it. There are more of course, can't think of every one though. I am already working on the second Audio CD. Some are mods, remastered with real synths, but most is new material, as well as yet another CD on its way after that one. That's also a difficult question, since I tend to listen to new things all the time.. Lots of sound track composers right now, as I am into creating that style of music, such as Hans Zimmer. Knowledge and experience with both computers and music, and a good name/reputation that is very valuable in the future. Partly at least. I do as much as I can. Going to visit a couple of parties again. Was ages ago. =) Some advertisment ;) Are you interested in info about my CD's or other productions? Don't hesitate joining my Email list. Just send a mail to [email protected] and tell me you want to be on it. ;) No spamming, just some info every second week or so. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- please note: this interview is ©opyrighted in 2001 by crown of cryptoburners ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
