  • 1-How did your interest for computers start? Which year was that?

  • 1985, I used to visit my cousin who owned a C64. Played Bruce Lee and fell in love.
Got my own C64 for christmas in 1987 (thank you mom & pop!)

  • 2-What machines did you previously have? What did you do with them?

  • C64 (music, teensy bit of programming), Amiga (music, programming)

  • 3-For what specific reason did you end up making music rather than gfx, coding?

  • Somewhere, I got hold of an old music disk, which contained music by Michael Winterberg.
Using an Action Replay cartridge, I managed to "compose music" by changing bytes in the program files.
After that, there was no turning back.

Later on (1994->), programming was my main choice. I still program.

  • 4-Which composing programs have you been using? Which one in particular?

  • C64: SoundMaster (GP+FE)
Amiga: Protracker (v3.51b I think) was the composer of choice!

  • 5-With which module did you feel you had reached your goal?

  • None

  • 6-Is there a tune you would like not to remember? For what reason?

  • None

  • 7-In your opinion, what's the value of a music in a demo, game?

  • Context, atmosphere, "feeling". Demos are awfully dull without sound.

  • 8-At present, are you still composing? For professional or leisure purposes?

  • I write, play guitar and sing in a newly formed band. Ofcourse, only
on the amateur level. I compose mainly on the guitar, and piece together
    stuff in Cubase SX.

  • 9-What do you think of today's pieces of music such as mpeg,wave,midi,etc...?

  • There are a lot of mpeg3's and wave files I like. ;-)

  • 10-Could you tell us some of your all times favourite tunes?

  • Martin Galway - Arkanoid Title
    Martin Galway - Rambo Loader
Peter Clarke - Ocean Loader 3 (Rastan Saga)
    Jens Christian Huus - Batman
    Almost everything by Jeroen Tel
    (All C64)

  • 11-Are you planning to make an audio cd with some of your music remastered?

  • No. Although now that you mention it, it would be interesting to "enhance"
    the tracks in Cubase.

I am planning an audio CD with real music, though.

  • 12-What bands are you currently listenning to?

  • Pink Floyd, Radiohead, and a lot of my band's rehearsals :-)

  • 13-What does/did the amiga/c64 scene give you?

  • A great time!

  • 14-Are you still active in the scene these days?

  • No

  • 15-Anyone to greet? Anything left to say? Feel free...

  • Nada
