  • 1-How did your interest for computers start? Which year was that?

  • I saw a c+4 at my nephew's place sometimes in the middle of 80's, and
we played all night with a game called Atlantis (some kind of shoot'em up)
Since he didn't let me steal his machine, i had to change my mind and
    buy a sixty-four for myself.

  • 2-What machines did you previously have? What did you do with them?

  • In te 80's still the socialist system ruled in Hungary and we were not
allowed to buy computers for fair prices inland, thus i smuggled a c64 from
the WEST, Wien into the country and afterall i felt like God having a
computer in Hungary. It was in 1986 i guess. First time i played in all of
my spare time, after seeing a Cosmos demo if i recall, i started to learn
assembly on C64, coded a few lame demos, cracked down some stuffs from floppy
    into tape.
After the system-changing in 1990, i bought my first A500 (of course in Wien
    again)

  • 3-For what specific reason did you end up making music rather than gfx, coding?

  • First I tried all as everybody else did i guess. I already had some kind of
relation with music that time, since i've been playing the guitar for 1990,
thus in the early of 1991 i joined my first group, Hyperacidity, as a composer.
But later we managed to gained some more better qualified computer musicians
and i rather stayed at trading (esp. later in S!P, Absolute!, Us, Impulse etc.)
Composing remained a second activity for me.

  • 4-Which composing programs have you been using? Which one in particular?

  • Protracker from the beginning. But i tell you honestly, i don't like
composing on Amiga that much, it's so boring having your ideas, tunes
get onto notes by notes and in the end it sounds terrible. i always wanted
a program to translate the melody and effects i play realtime into PT
(just like MIDI does) Therefore i like digitizing, but own melodies mainly,
ripping big sequences (esp. themes) are lame.

  • 5-With which module did you feel you had reached your goal?

  • I don't think i'm famous about my musics. But my favoutite songs are
my lyric guitar-songs 'Itt es Most', the Malmsteen clone 'icarus dreams'
and one of my oldest song 'white rose' from 1992

  • 6-Is there a tune you would like not to remember? For What reason?

  • I'm proud all my productions even if I know i'm not qualified for
Protracking, but i deny none for sure.

  • 7-In your opinion, what's the valour of a music in a demo, game?

  • Certainly a game, but both are hard to do, because you have to become one
with the feeling and atmosphere, not just composing a melody.

  • 8-At present, are you still composing? For professional or leisure purposes?

  • Not anymore. I have no time left for this.

  • 9-What do you think of today's pieces of music such as mpeg,wave,midi,etc...?

  • Midi is surely a great thing to have, but unfortunately no Amiga programs
support it so deep. Even not under Shapeshifter either :( Though it's a
fact, that it's funny when you play a trumpet solo on Midi-guitar.
Mpeg is also a good way for keeping your songs small, but you need a
    powerrider to enjoy.

  • 10-Could you tell us some of your all times favourite tunes?

  • I don't love today composers that much. Though surely the legendary themes
from Jogeir such as in Love demo and the end-tune in Full-Moon,
Audiomonster's Hysteria and all Amiga transportations of Dizzy (eg. Girl from
Ipanema) get in mind first time thinking of Amiga music.

  • 11-Are you planning to make an audio cd with some of your music remastered?

  • Nope.

  • 12-What bands are you currently listenning to?

  • I prefer the progressive/instrumental rock a lot, such as Dream Theater,
Steve Vai, Malmsteen, Satriani, but also the music of barock (Bach, Vivaldi)
Though of course the musics i listen always depend on my mood.

  • 13-What does/did the amiga/c64 scene give you?

  • Lot of friends and a lifeform. But you can live this life when you are free,
go to school or you aren't engaged to anything yet. If you already start
earning money and you choose other jobs than your hobby, you can't resume
the scene as much you did before, even if you believe you will be able.
Though no doubt it always remains with me even now, too, when i'm a bit out
of scenelife (actually, i'm working at the Hungarian Airport, 1 more year to
go at uni as well - and we try to play background music in elite bars with a
great pianist friend of mine - musics from the barock till the early jazz)

  • 14-Are you still active in the scene these days?

  • Not much, i even have not much time to keep in touch with my old pals either.
Earning money, Job, school, guitar, girlfriend, Amiga... Too much thing to
keep it together. Though never miss any parties if i can afford, i still
love meeting with friends, boozing and forget the weekdays for a couple of
days. And as it still seems i never will leave the scene in spite of my
    reduced activity (never say never).

  • 15-Anyone to greet? Anything left to say? Feel free...

  • I greet You dude for reading this, all my previous and actual group mates
(cronologicaly order in Hypac, Creator, Vision, S!P, Absolute!, US, Impulse,
Kangooroo, Crimson Jihad), my girlfriend ('Nagy C-vel') and Crown for this
    interview.
    Scene in mind.
