I have been stuck to computers ever since my brother bought a C-64 in early 1986! C-64, only played games and tried to make programs in Basic (with no bigger achievements). I also played around with a demomaker! (1986-88). When my brother and I got the A-500 we started to get interested in demos for real. So except for trying to make my modules sound somewhat good I watched demos, played games and copied disks for swapping all day long (I actually skipped school quite alot just to be able to keep up with everything! :). (1988-92). In 1992 my brother bought an A-3000, around this time I also started some trading activities. I still used the A-500 quite much until I got my A-1200 in 1994. I continued to use the A-1200 until 1998 when I bought a PC (P2-233) which I still use today. I always had been astonished by the great music that people made, and the fact that I didn't understand shit about assembler at that time it was somehow quite natural for me to start learning Soundtracker. I also did some gfx in Deluxe Paint though, mainly small 8x8 fonts! I've tried almost all trackers on Amiga. The ones I used most was Soundtracker, Noisetracker and Protracker (in that order). Others I tried were Bluetracker, Startracker etc. I made only one song with Future Composer. I made about 10 THX songs. On PC I've only used Fasttracker II except for one try with adlib. Unlike many others I felt I reached a certain goal with my module Discoking. I surprisingly won the 4ch musiccompo on the Mekka/Symp party in 1998 which was something I never even had dreamt of. I guess that was the highlight of my career as a musician :) None that I can think of right now. Demos and games without music would be nothing. Music and sound helps the viewer/player to get into the right mood. Sometimes I start FT2 just for the sake of tracking! But unfortunately I have a tendency to just start new modules and never finish anything, except for some small chiptunes once in a while. Not much to say, evolution is the word to describe it. Never Ending Love by Firefox Mega End by Firefox 12:th Warrior by Dr.Awesome Boesendorfer pss by Romeo Knight Complications by Danko Horizon by Blaizer (FC tune) Yeah, maybe as homeburned xmas gifts for my family :) I listen to alot of different bands from musicstyles such as ska, rock and trance. Weird combination huh? A lot of experience and friends! I also think it's the funniest period of my life (yet atleast!). Other than that, bad grades I guess :) Yes, but nowadays I mostly code (PC/GBA/SOON PS2/SOON XBOX). And I are also involved with some other activities which shouldn't be mentioned here :) I'll go with the classic one "greetings to everyone I know" ... ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- please note: this interview is ©opyrighted in 2002 by crown of cryptoburners ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
