  • 1-How did your is interest for computers start? Which year was that?

  • Computers just facinated me as a kid, the games were cool. Got into it in
1981 (21 years ago almost!! Sheesh!)

  • 2-What machines did you previously have? What did you do with them?

  • C64 - Music composing, gfx
    Amiga - Music composing

  • 3-For what specific reason did you end up making music rather than gfx, coding?

  • Coding didn't interest me so I just wrote music as I learnt to play music at
    an early age..

  • 4-Which composing programs have you been using? Which one in particular?

  • On C64 - Future Composer and then EMS (our own music player written by Sean
    of Sonix Systems)

On Amiga - NoiseTracker and then EMS Amiga (our own music player for 16bit,
    again by Sean)

In my studio - VST 32 V5.1, Reason, TRpacks, SoundForge ReCycle, too many
    plugins and VSTIs to mention..

  • 5-With which module did you feel you had reached your goal?

  • No idea.. There's music out there by me I don't even remember writing! But
hearing my music in a game for the first time was cool!!

  • 6-Is there a tune you would like not to remember? For what reason?

  • The first one I presented to Martin Galway when I met him at a computer show..
    He hated it... ;)

  • 7-In your opinion, what's the value of a music in a demo, game?

  • Crucial!! Computer music should *ALWAYS* have been given more respect, more
importance in game/demo production... but it never was, hence as musicians
we always had the least resources to work in...

  • 8-At present, are you still composing? For professional or leisure purposes?

  • Working hard in my production studio, part-time currently but with albums out
and record-label interest - things are set to take off!!! :)

  • 9-What do you think of today's pieces of music such as mpeg,wave,midi,etc...?

  • The way its all going.. and its all good! Producers/Composers still need to
know their kit or software.. and knowing how to compose a good melody is a
skill no matter what the technology..

  • 10-Could you tell us some of your all times favourite tunes?

  • Rob Hubbard - Sanxion, WAR, Knuckledusters
Sean Connolloy/Sonix Systems - Turbocharge Title Tune
Martin Galway - Parallax, Game Over
    Jeroen Tel - Cybernoid II
BKH - Some mental orchestral tune in an amiga demo
(can't remember the title of it)

  • 11-Are you planning to make an audio cd with some of your music remastered?

  • Not my scene/computer music nope... but my current stuff?? We're busy working
on our third promo album "Supply & Demand"

  • 12-What bands are you currently listenning to?

  • Omni Trio, EZRollers, EdRush/Optical, Jamiroquai, Bassment Jazz, As One,
DJ Food, Cypress Hill Orbital, Hybrid, Basis, Darkstate(!)

  • 13-What does/did the amiga/c64 scene give you?

  • Life-time friends, and an appreciation for technology and the wonders of
    communication.. ;)

  • 14-Are you still active in the scene these days?

  • I know people and stay in touch with them, but no active scene work per-se..
my old group is still firing on all cylinders though!!!

  • 15-Anyone to greet? Anything left to say? Feel free...

  • Too many to mention but a few shouts to...

All of Cosine and Sonix Systems, Abigail/F4CG,
    AJ/TRC, Ghost/Browbeat, Cycleburner/Contex,
JT & Reyn/Maniacs of Noise, Yak and all those people past and present who
    made it what it was..
