  • 1-How did your interest for computers start? Which year was that?

  • 1988 I got my first, a C64. Then it was mostly for games, but I discovered
pretty fast the soul of the music.

  • 2-What machines did you previously have? What did you do with them?

  • C64: Games, Demos
AMIGA 500: Games, Demos, Music, Graphics
AMIGA 1200: Graphics, Music, Games, Demos
    PC: Music, Graphics, Games, Demos.

Today I uses PC and Amiga.

  • 3-For what specific reason did you end up making music rather than gfx, coding?

  • Actually, I did everything except coding :)

Regarding music...It was the demoscene that got me into that. Every demo on the
C64 had music with soul in it. The melodies was fantastic. And I have always
been a sucker for instrumental, since I think it's a bigger chalange to get the
same meaning in a song without the text.

When the AMIGAfound it's way to my room I realised the Tracking-process was
incredible easy to learn, yet powerful. This, was my call :)

  • 4-Which composing programs have you been using? Which one in particular?

  • ProTracker, big time.
    AHX (THX) for a while.

Today it's mostly Sonar, reason and stuff like that. But I have started to
get my hands on Skaletracker and ReNoise for a possible comeback.

  • 5-With which module did you feel you had reached your goal?

  • Depends on which style we're talking about. One I was perticular satisfied with
was "Angel Breeze". A calm Vangelis-wannabe track that I fell in love with the
moment I got the idea for it. An 11-minute epos with lots of orchestral
instruments. I remixed it lates on Fasttracker and gave that final touch i
couldn't achieve on the 4-ch AMIGA.

My first Goa7Psy-track, "Mantra", was another, for me, groundbreaking title.
fast, dreamlike, psy-inspired and pretty darn good...at that time for me =/

  • 6-Is there a tune you would like not to remember? For what reason?

  • No, actually not. Somewhere in my basement I have the recording of my VERY
first song. Ofcourse it sucks pretty much all through, but it's a fine memorial
    to have.

  • 7-In your opinion, what's the value of a music in a demo, game?

  • For me, as much as gfx.
Imagine a horror movie without the music......???

  • 8-At present, are you still composing? For professional or leisure purposes?

  • After the crash in 2001 I lost all my hope to continue. 11 years in the making
was vanished. No more. I REALLY didn't wanna go on. But lately I have started
to feel the urge again, and that makes me pretty darn happy.

Before the incident it was mainly psytrance, goa, instrumental, soundtracklike
vangelis..and so forth. The music have been heard on radio, parties, raves and
    clubs.

  • 9-What do you think of today's pieces of music such as mpeg,wave,midi,etc...?

  • mp3 is ofcourse a golden opportunity for people who want to get their music
    out fast for the masses. It's great, it's fun...rock on...you know :)

Wave, well, ofcourse the format for samples...Usefull.

Midi. Well, only when it come to modern musicmaking. NOT on the soundcard in
    your computer.

  • 10-Could you tell us some of your all times favourite tunes?

  • I'm a big fan of Lizardking. He managed to capture some melodies that was
    hard to beat.

Then, ofcourse, most of the big guys within the demoscene, Jester, Jesper Kyd,
DrAwesome, Jogeir, Pink, Jazz and so on and on and on...The list is to long...
That's something we should be happy for.

  • 11-Are you planning to make an audio cd with some of your music remastered?

  • I have done that already. The Sound of Amiga Vol 1-3.

Well, if you like to call it remastered I don't know, but I captured the
original sond from the Amiga and edited it Soundforge and created stereoeffects.
This was some time ago and the result varies. Because of my crash I can't di
it again. No more files exists. Though, the other day I found som old tapes
with few songs not yet remastered. The quality is very bad, but hey....bring
    it on ;)

  • 12-What bands are you currently listenning to?

  • Infected Mushrooms
    Astral projection
    The Delta
    Hallucinogen
    MFG
    Psydrop
A lot of soundtracks. Hans Zimmer rules.
    C64 remakes
    Demoscene music

  • 13-What does/did the amiga/c64 scene give you?

  • An incredible amout of love through the music. I don't write in a diarie, I
put all my thoughts and feelings in my music. The to be shared other musicians
creations was fun, amazing and cool as hell.

  • 14-Are you still active in the scene these days?

  • The scene...no, I'm sorry to say. BUT, I'm garding it with all my heart and
follows the new stuff on both the Amiga and PC-scene. If I got a suggestion
again to do a prod, maybe I'd do it...

  • 15-Anyone to greet? Anything left to say? Feel free...

  • Well, all the years with the Amiga made me to what I am. Nothing can actually
beat that machine. I'm true to that old thing, though I today uses the PC a
still runs my 1200. Ofcourse I have the Cloanto Amigaemulator.

I have many great moments to look back at and I'm so incredible happy that the
Scene still exists and that groups still produces stuff for the Amiga.

That's why sites such as Amiga Music Preservations makes me happy and hopefull
that the mod and trackercommunity will live on forever...At least I'd like to
    think so.
