It was in 1983/1984. I have to confess that I was a computer fan (probably like most of the people who read this interview !). Coding was my first interest in computers. I used to play a lot too. Then I discovered the demos, the musics of Rob Hubbard and Martin Galway... I started with a Commodore 64, then an Atari 520 ST (for some months only) then an Amiga 500. I played with the C64, learned the basic and the assembly code. I started to learn the 68000 with the Atari, and finally with the Amiga, I've coded, did some gfxs and mods. I always wanted to do music. And when, one day, I heard the first Amiga modules (you know : the modules by Karsten Obarski (Amegas, Bluesong...)), I thought : "Wow, now it's possible to make "real "music with just a computer". Startrekker, Noisetracker and ProTacker, and a little bit of Sidmon. There was one of my module that I liked, but I don't have it anymore, I can't remeber the melody and I even can't remember its name. So, end of the answer ;o) Not really... IMHO, the music should be enhanced the visual part. For example, in Fist II, the music is really something that gives the mood to the game. Composing : not really. I spend most of my leisure time playing the guitar or the keybard. But I've recently discovered Skale, and, well, it's amazing ! All these "technlogies" help people to create (and spread) music easily. It can't be bad. You can have your own home studio for low price. Mmh, for the C64 : Gyroscope, Ghosts'n globlins, Space harrier, Ocean loader, all the musics by Paul Norman, Crazy comets, Sanxion, Warhawk... For the Amiga : some modules by Walkman : Klisje paa klisje, Poormouth... and I really like to listen to the first modules by Karsten : pure nostalgy ! No Jeff Buckley, Tracy Chapman, Jimi Hendrix, Suzanne Vega... Probably, meeting people who have the same passions than me, some good parties too. No Ok, so here is a list of people I'd like to greet : Adrian, Ktulu (alias Bubble Bobble), Pi, Lone Slonono, Samir (Zenith) and anyone who knows me! And thanks to you, Crown and Curt Cool for the AMP! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- please note: this interview is ©opyrighted in 2003 by crown of cryptoburners ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
