  • 1-How did your interest for computers start? Which year was that?

  • First, when i was a little boy, i love video games. My first computer was a
Commodore 64, but i use it only for games, not very interesting. After my
parents, for Christmas, bought a Nitendo Entairtenment System (NES), at this
time i am only 5 or 6 years old (i don't remember). When, some years later, I
discovered with a friend the Commodore Amiga. After 2 years of intensive
gaming on the Amiga, i was boring. At this moment i start the demoscene, and
i think that was the begining of my computer interest . It was in 1989.

  • 2-What machines did you previously have? What did you do with them?

  • My first real computer was an Amiga. First, I play with video games. But
when i discovered demoscene, my life with computer changes . Sometimes
after i discovered ProTracker and i'm start to make "music" (something who
    seem like music :).

  • 3-For what specific reason did you end up making music rather than gfx, coding?

  • It's very simple. I like mathematics but uses mathematics for pleasure was not
an option so the coding section was not for me :) . Moreover, i don't know how
to draw something i'm a poor drawer on the paper so why can i make better picture
on computer than on paper (it was a really question :). And, moreover, when i
discovered protracker it was like a dream. A lot of things who move on the screen
    some C-3 or D#3 with 4A2 and 3F0, i didn't understand anything but i like it. I
love music (since i was 6 years old (thanks father, sister :) and so i decided
    to make music.

  • 4-Which composing programs have you been using? Which one in particular?

  • The first program that i was using is "ProTracker" on the Amiga and for me it
is the reference tracker to make trackered music. After, i try a lot of trackers
but i never find the same quality than ProTracker. Since 1 year, a bought a PC
and I use FastTracker 2 because it have the same "mind" than ProTracker.

  • 5-With which module did you feel you had reached your goal?

  • None. I hope i can reach a better level (i think it's always possible).

  • 6-Is there a tune you would like not to remember? For What reason?

  • All :) . because i don't think i have already made a "good" music, but you know
what we say an artist can't judge the quality of his work so ...

  • 7-In your opinion, what's the value of a music in a demo, game?

  • The music is, for me, a very important part of a demo (or game). Indeed, just
watch a demo with music and after the same with no music ... you see the
difference. The music bring a atmosphere in the game or demo. Without this
atmosphere you can't appreciate the work of the coders and the graphists
    at their real value.

  • 8-At present, are you still composing? For professional or leisure purposes?

  • Yes, I am but no real new production since 1 year, but don't worry new musics
come soon. I actually compose for me, for leisure, but I hope someone give me
the opportunity to work on a professional work soon.

  • 9-What do you think of today's pieces of music such as mpeg,wave,midi,etc...?

  • I think midi is a good thing to work with your own studio or to give an preview
of your actual project, but it's not a good kind of file to spread worldwide
because it doesn't respect exactly the idea of the composer. On the other hand,
mpeg (MP3) is the new kind of file to spread, it give us nearly a CD quality
and respect the idea of a musician, I love it.

  • 10-Could you tell us some of your all times favourite tunes?

  • There are a lot of tunes i love, so the choice is very difficult.
On the other hand, the choice is easier about musicians (i'm just talk here
about demoscene) and I think the CNCD team is the most powerful (Heatbeat,
Dizzy, Groo, ...) in fact only ex-amiga musicians :)

  • 11-Are you planning to make an audio cd with some of your music remastered?

  • Yes , i am but not with only remastered music a mix between old (remastered)
    and new music.

  • 12-What bands are you currently listenning to?

  • I love a lot of kind of music (maybe all), so again the choice is very
difficult. So i just say what band i'm listenning actually :

Bands from demoscene : Aural planet.

Commercial Bands : Daft Punk, Prodigy.

  • 13-What does/did the amiga/c64 scene give you?

  • The scene change my life, i meet a lot of very interesting people, see a lot
of attractive demo and picture, listen a lot of very good music. I love this
small and wonderful world the demoscene.

  • 14-Are you still active in the scene these days?

  • One year ago, i decided to quit the demoscene and just make music for me.
But, since one or two months i want to make a come back, so I search a team
who need a musician motivated and who want an old scener :)

  • 15-Anyone to greet? Anything left to say? Feel free...

  • Greets to : SoLO / Corpse , Scorpion / Silicon , Jamie / Skarla , Nec / HMD ,
    Squaley , PSC , Aaseth , and a lot of person i like ...

    And don't forget : DEMOSCENE RULES !!!!!!!!!!!!!
    AMIGA RULES !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    MUSIC RULES !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
