I went and bought one aswell. 1986. 3 pcs. C64, 2 pcs. Amiga and lot's of PC's. I played arround with them; Games, graphics and music ofcourse! Well, I didn't totally give up on gfx and coding but, why I chose music was because this was a way of expressing myself that gfx and coding couldn't do. The one that started it all was my friend JCH's Editor. On Amiga it was ProTracker (I think that was the name) and on PC it have been JCH's Edlib Editor, FastTracker and now I allmost only use Cubase. Cubase have grown into a stable and suitable music soulution that covers my needs for an editor. None, I haven't yet reached it I guess. I'm still improving my skills. I see my modules as one sees an old gramma report. I represent the time and state when it was done. Lot's!! ;) You know, as there are things in your life that you think you could have done different (or shouldn't have done) so are there tunes (or sequences in them)! ;) But, as I said before, it represent the time and state I was in and I have no regrets! I'm honered if people tell me they like my music. Much more than compensated for (atleast I think). It's like the movies. What is Star Wars without Williams compositions? Most C64 games is remebered by it's title tune! That's not the case today (unfortunately) but, still some brilliant music exists in games/demos. Music is a valueable asset that contribute to the experience. I'm still composing. It has taken some time to tune in on what style my compositions should be. Now I have chosen to focus on commercial house music projects. I've found that this genre is close related to my soul (so to speak)! ;) It's still on an ameteur level but, I'm currently working on some demo material together with my team member Metal/Vibrants. We might start a new label, strictly house music. What I think of formats? Well, MP3 have brought a wider possibility of getting music that you never dreamed on buying or listenning to. MIDI files are a thing in the past thou my new Nokia 7650 supports that format (I don't know if I answered that one correctly). I've been a big fan of the following composers: Charles Deenen, Thomas Egeskov Petersen, Tim Follin, Jens-Christian Huus, Rob Hubbard, Fred Grey, Geir Tjelta, Thomas Mogensen, Jeroen Tel, Dizzy, Johannes Bjerregaard, Martin Galway. No. Lots. :) Something unforgettable!! No. Hi to all sceners I know/knew. Special greet's to all the guys in Crest. Thanks to you Crown, for providing the scene with nostalgia. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- please note: this interview is ©opyrighted in 2003 by crown of cryptoburners ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
