Date of birth: 1 Feb. 1979 I think it was in '86 when my cousin bought a used C= ViC20 with a b/w monitor. That was some cool shit, I had never seen a computer with games before. A year later he bought a Commodore 64, and I was hooked. Had to have one myself, and I somehow got hold of a used Commodore 128. That's how it started. Commodore 64, Commodore 128; mostly games, and some programming (basic) Amiga 500, A2000 and A1200; music (protracker), games, red sector demomaker ;)) internet (amitcp), programming (arexx, amos) Maybe because I played in a band already (drums) and I had absolutely no talent for gfx. (I don't say I have a talent for music either.. It was just more fun to do musics..) Mainly Protracker. But I've used OctaMED, Aegis Sonix, JAM-Cracker, Future-Composer, Soundmon, THX. Now it's Steinberg CuBase. None of them. They were all crap :D yup, hp.technostyle - my compo tune for TG'94. Some guy crashed my hard drive with the real compo tune, and I lost all my modules, samples, etc. Had to make a tune real quick at home and the only source I had was an Amiga 500 with the 1-speed CDrom and ST-00 collection of samples. Shiit. And it turned out to be the worst tune ever. It goes hand in hand. You can't have one without the other, like when you drink coffee, or beer, it's like natural to smoke a cig aswell ;) Only for leisure, I compose some midi tracks now and then, together with Fuzz/ (ex.TRSI) in a pro. studio with lot's of synths and nice stash! It really rocks, and we should be releasing a cd in the future (I hope..) Mainly psy/goa trance, deephouse, chillout. What kind of question is this? - Compared to modules? It's nostalgy around the mods, and a lot of great music was made that way (tracking), but things have a way of evolving, and a demand for better quality and more possibilities just made mods a bit retro now.. The new formats are better, midi is'nt that new, I thought MIDI came before the trackers? From the tracking days, I believe these are my favourite: Tip & Firefox - Enigma theme Travolta - Condom Corruption Timmy / Spaceballs - mod.tsap1 (this one is amazing for a 8bit sound tracker!) Jester - Elysium, Cyberride Nuke (Spaceman) - How to skin a cat theme Don't think so! :) None in particular, but I listen to psy/goa, deephouse, chillout, trance, and whatever is on the radio (which is mostly cheezy eurotrash.. sucks, but who cares?) :) Nostalgy, and sometimes a kool party (Kindergarden rules) :) Nope. Greetings to Earomics, Smult-Klanen, Bollis-Team, Auto of Atomix, Acid/Alpha Flight. Haha :) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- please note: this interview is ©opyrighted in 2002 by crown of cryptoburners ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
