  • 1-How did your interest for computers start? Which year was that?

  • I was quite young. Thanx to my big cousin who inoculated me the "virus" when
    I was 7 or 8 years old, around 1984 :)

  • 2-What machines did you previously have? What did you do with them?

  • I started with a C64/128, mainly for gaming plus some coding.
Later I got an Amiga 500 and 1200. The day I discovered Protracker and DSS
(Digital Sound Studio) a revolution begun in my life!

  • 3-For what specific reason did you end up making music rather than gfx, coding?

  • I have almost tried every aspect of computer activity but music has always
    been my passion.

  • 4-Which composing programs have you been using? Which one in particular?

  • I can mention quite a few of them: Oktalyzer, Protracker, Stonetracker,
    Musicline, Octamed, Digibooster...

But I mainly used Protracker and Octamed for Midi sound processing.

  • 5-With which module did you feel you had reached your goal?

  • I think that all what I have composed between 1995 and 1997 is interesting
and helped me get famous in the scene.

  • 6-Is there a tune you would like not to remember? For what reason?

  • I have kept the souvenir of the two first tracks I did on Oktalyser and those
don't sound like anything worth listenning to. I was just discovering what a
    tracker is actually about. :)

  • 7-In your opinion, what's the value of a music in a demo, game?

  • Very important! The demo music that has really impressed me the most was
the one used in DESERT DREAM by Kefrens. I played the music over and over
just to please my ears. :)

  • 8-At present, are you still composing? For professional or leisure purposes?

  • Yes, still and I have a heavy load of work at the moment. Nowadays people know
me under the handle of "Muttonheads" as a composer of electro/house music.

My composing technique has slightly changed but I am happy to notice that I am
still having the same pleasure as before when creating new tracks.

  • 9-What do you think of today's pieces of music such as mpeg,wave,midi,etc...?

  • MP3 rulez :)

  • 10-Could you tell us some of your all times favourite tunes?

  • --

  • 11-Are you planning to make an audio cd with some of your music remastered?

  • Nope, a mod has to remain a mod :)

  • 12-What bands are you currently listenning to?

  • There has been two main music periods in my life. First, the GOA and nowadays
    the electro/house musics.

If you want to me mention a few: Man With No Name by Sugar Rush and Daft Punk's
Da Funk. These are the tunes I have been listenning over and over and they
    are really important to me.

I also like today's electro/house scene, italian disco from the 80's and the
good old funk of the 70's.

  • 13-What does/did the amiga/c64 scene give you?

  • The bases of music creation and quite a few years of fun, nice moments in
    dicovering new things!

  • 14-Are you still active in the scene these days?

  • Nope, no longer in the demo scene. I am in the big guys playfield nowadays ;)

  • 15-Anyone to greet? Anything left to say? Feel free...

  • All the swapper (you know who you are) and especially my two old ex-muttonheads
    fellows: Uman and Syd!
