Well, the C64. We used it primarily to play games. Boulderdash mostly I guess... I got interested in BASIC, but at 6 I didn't create usefull things :). Actually I code and make music. Some weeks I feel like coding, other ones like composing. Maybe if I tried long enough I could do gfx but I'm content with coding and composing. It might have been because of AMOS that I got into coding. It was so easy to use it gave me no reason to stop. Once it lost the challenge I started messing around in Assembler. When I started I used MED 3/4, which probably came on an Amiga Format coverdisk. Later I bought OctaMED SS and started composing in that. Beside MED I also compose in AHX. Other composing programs I tried were ProTracker and MusicLine. But I kept getting back to OctaMED SS because it has more features and AHX (because the nice C64-like synth sound :))... But mostly OctaMED SS because all versions of AHX seem to crash every 10 minutes.. :( None in particular. Although I was very happy with my AHX tunes. I conviniently deleted all tunes I did not like from my HD, and then degaussed my brain to forget them :). Ok, my older mods had short tunes that repeated a lot and annoyingly staying in my head :). I do like to forget them ;). It creates atmosphere. Try watching a demo without sound and you'll notice the difference. I'll keep on composing as long as it's fun. All musicformats have their own pros and cons. MP3 is great, but I don't think it'll replace mods for demo related stuff. A lot of cracktro tunes, the Bubble Bobble tune... There are so many good c64 & Amiga tunes :). Maybe I'll compile a list on my website... Who knows... :) Just plain top 40 I'm afraid... And cd's and recording from music from 1990-1997... I'm just really getting into the scene. From the outside it was fun watching the intros/demos. From the inside it's good to know there are people out there enjoying the things you make :) Erm, I just started last week :) haha... Unless ofcourse you also count me lurking and leeching demos from bbsses ;) Which I did from 1995, that's when I started using the alias 'Niceguy'.
