  • 1-How did your interest for computers start? Which year was that?

  • I bought a C64, that was the beginning of everything. I don't remember the
year, but they sold the C64's still in brown, not in the latest C128-alike
white housing, so... (you can look this up on www.old-computers.com)

  • 2-What machines did you previously have? What did you do with them?

  • So, the C64 was the first one, then came a giant leap forward to the 386sx-16,
then numerous machines later I'm running a Dual-PIII Precision Workstation and
of course a heavy notebook and an Compaq iPAQ 3970 :-) I als count my HP-42S
and HP-48S as computers at the time, especially the HP-42S was fun to program,
the 48 was way too slow, really bloated.

  • 3-For what specific reason did you end up making music rather than gfx, coding?

  • Actually I did all of them, but as there was no other musician in Hypernova at
the time, my tunes were used for our productions. Then came Radical Rhythms
and more and more time was put in the music...

  • 4-Which composing programs have you been using? Which one in particular?

  • I started with FastTracker 1.0 (the 4 channel one), then switched to beta
versions of X-Tracker by Delusion (hi bop!). I stayed with X-Tracker 1.07
ever since, as I didn't find any decent replacement yet (suggestions welcome!).

  • 5-With which module did you feel you had reached your goal?

  • Several modules for different reasons. At times I tried to get the most out of
the smallest samples, but finished up with a 30-channel "Electrophotography -
Funk Edit" at the limit of the GusMax-card (1Mb of samples).

  • 6-Is there a tune you would like not to remember? For what reason?

  • Several old stuff isn't playable anymore, but then again, it was fun at the
time so there's no need to be ashamed about it :-)

  • 7-In your opinion, what's the value of a music in a demo, game?

  • Actually I think it's invaluable: it makes or breakes a production. The same
goes for movies and tv-programs. Not that music is the most important factor,
but it's definitely one of it!

  • 8-At present, are you still composing? For professional or leisure purposes?

  • Not for the last couple of years. I still intend to pick it all up again...
now if I could only find some free time for that!

  • 9-What do you think of today's pieces of music such as mpeg, wave, midi, etc...?

  • I prefer the original Atrac.

  • 10-Could you tell us some of your all times favourite tunes?

  • The list includes Moby, Wim Mertens, Depeche Mode, Recoil, The Nits, Sven Vaeth.

The list changes regularly, actually there are too many good tunes out there.
One of the deciding factors is if I want the song to be played at my funeral.

  • 11-Are you planning to make an audio cd with some of your music remastered?

  • There is one already, only 1 copy exists and it's in the car of my wife :-)
If someone would ask I could make another copy perhaps.

  • 12-What bands are you currently listenning to?

  • See question 10.

  • 13-What does/did the amiga/c64 scene give you?

  • Not very much. I do appreciate the pixel-artists on the Amiga and some of the
    chiptunes on c64 though.

  • 14-Are you still active in the scene these days?

  • No, not at all. Does it still exist? :-)

  • 15-Anyone to greet? Anything left to say? Feel free...

  • A lot of greetings to ... hmm... everyone I suppose. I don't remember all
names from those days, but I regularly remember the good times we had!
