  • 1-How did your interest for computers start? Which year was that?

  • in 1982 I got my first computer, a Tiki 100 containing PacMan and Space
Invaders. Bought an Atari 2600 (games games games)
in 1985 I saw my firs C64, and was stunned! 1988 I got my first Amiga. Still
    got Amiga running at home

  • 2-What machines did you previously have? What did you do with them?

  • Tiki100 - games
    Atari 2600 - Games
    C64 - Games
    Amiga 500 - Music, protracking - games ;)
    Amiga 1200 - Music, protracking
    Amiga 3000 - Music, protracking
    Amiga 4000 - Music, protracking
    Several PC's - Ft2, Gaming, Browsing, Working

  • 3-For what specific reason did you end up making music rather than gfx, coding?

  • Oh.. COme from a music family. Never could choose anything else. Besides, my
twin bother was programming, and I haven't caught the interest untill now

  • 4-Which composing programs have you been using? Which one in particular?

  • Protracer . definitively! Ft2, Octamed, Impulsetracker, Starttrecker
    (if you remember that one)

  • 5-With which module did you feel you had reached your goal?

  • Goals aren't reached, but I have been pleased with the ones I've won
    competitions.

  • 6-Is there a tune you would like not to remember? For what reason?

  • Yes, Heck yes.. Skjeggspir/Contraz Delivered a module I made in 1992
to a competition in 1995. It was terror! Think the name was "shamen Voice"
    or something...

  • 7-In your opinion, what's the value of a music in a demo, game?

  • Music is the sauce... The meat has to be awfully good not to need sauce..
When you remember the old games, you allways conote with the music, that's why
    there's been released C64-remix-Cd's amiga best-of-scene Cd's.
Music is vital to complete a demo and a game.. If you want art without music,
go to a museum, complaint to every sound and stay boring ;)

  • 8-At present, are you still composing? For professional or leisure purposes?

  • Yes, I am, but it's more project-based, I'm currently making music for a
short-movie and I've been involved in a CD project where I am to compose some
background tracks for a (*ahrm...*) Meditation CD. This is in coorperation with
the paradigm academy. Music-jobs has been on and off for me, since I'm working
full-time. I've done some low-life singbacks for a couple of concerts. Even got
one of my tunes played in the Orchestre house in Oslo at the new-years eve
    concert. (Mum was sooo proud)

  • 9-What do you think of today's pieces of music such as mpeg,wave,midi,etc...?

  • This is something musicians only relate to. Listening to a module in Protracker
let you see the tracks, how it was made and if the composer was a sampling kind
of guy, or simply a great talent. There was allways more prestigue in modules
made from scratch with no long samples... Gotta remember Virgills Eurocontest
mod with only 1 sample. By flipping back and forthe through the sample, he made
    an allright module. ;)
MP3's Are ok, but I don't like them in compos at parties.

  • 10-Could you tell us some of your all times favourite tunes?

  • Pekekujaano, Du-Rup (hi Leia), soda-pop, Mod.Ulator.. some of the ones I've
    liked..

  • 11-Are you planning to make an audio cd with some of your music remastered?

  • Hell no. I'm going from scratch. I would never do that to myself. A song is a
song. Don't like remixing, remastering.. sorry. Only new stuff.

  • 12-What bands are you currently listenning to?

  • Pop: Lighthouse Fam, Kate Bush,
    Rock: motorpsycho, Clawfinger,
    Heavy: Tristania
    R&B: Never.. NEVER!
    Classical: pacelbel, fauhre
    other: Midnight Choir
    Newschool: All played at sikamicaniko

  • 13-What does/did the amiga/c64 scene give you?

  • A life beyond my wildest dreams.
Hope of reaching to the top, Endless pain when I realized Amiga-scene
    was loosing the battle.
I can't help but miss the days of our prime-time.

  • 14-Are you still active in the scene these days?

  • Well, I organize Kindergarden (party) in Norway, and
I'm trying to get a hold on myself to get ProTracker back on schedule

  • 15-Anyone to greet? Anything left to say? Feel free...

  • I have many regrets in the scene. looking up to certaint people
and groups that didn't deserve my respect. Not joining a couple
of great groups because of my own dreams of making our group great.
I would like to greet all the people still in the Amiga scene.
Ephidrena, Rebels, Apathy, Haujobb, all Contraz-people +++
