  • 1-How did your interest for computers start? Which year was that?

  • Around 1980 - My dad was a games programmer.

  • 2-What machines did you previously have? What did you do with them?

  • The first machine I really got into was the C64. I wrote little demos in
6502 and generally hacked around with games etc etc. Then moved onto the
Amiga - learned 68000 and started tracking and making mods. After leaving
Uni I've only ever used PCs for both coding & music.

  • 3-For what specific reason did you end up making music rather than gfx, coding?

  • I can't draw very well, so gfx was never an option.

  • 4-Which composing programs have you been using? Which one in particular?

  • With the amiga it was Protracker. Nowadays, with the pc it is Cubase - Pretty
fantastic , as it acts as an entire studio, but lots to learn.

  • 5-With which module did you feel you had reached your goal?

  • Hmmm - I remember a couple of the Grapevine tunes I did were alright. Those
pieces were the ones I tried hard with since I knew a fair few people would
    be listening to them.

  • 6-Is there a tune you would like not to remember? For what reason?

  • Yes - Most of them because they weren't very good.

  • 7-In your opinion, what's the value of a music in a demo, game?

  • Quiet a lot. For me, good music can make a bad demo/game.

  • 8-At present, are you still composing? For professional or leisure purposes?

  • Yep - Just as a hobby - When I finish tracks I usually upload them to my
    website.

  • 9-What do you think of today's pieces of music such as mpeg,wave,midi,etc...?

  • You mean what do I think of the different formats? Well there was no doubt
that .mp3 would change the world. My tunes only come in .mp3 format now as
there's no better way to get people to listen to music of cd quality.

  • 10-Could you tell us some of your all times favourite tunes?

  • Enjoy the Silence - Depeche Mode
The Thin Red Line Soundtrack - Hans Zimmer

  • 11-Are you planning to make an audio cd with some of your music remastered?

  • Old music? Nah - There was only a few tunes I'd dare listen to again - Most of
    it was terrible.

  • 12-What bands are you currently listenning to?

  • Bloodhound Gang & Depeche Mode

  • 13-What does/did the amiga/c64 scene give you?

  • A few years of fun.

  • 14-Are you still active in the scene these days?

  • Nope - my job in games doesn't leave much room for anything else.

  • 15-Anyone to greet? Anything left to say? Feel free...

  • Don't eat yellow snow.
