  • 1-How did your interest for computers start? Which year was that?

  • I guess it all started with arcade machines. During the early eightees when I
was a young boy, a lot of my money went down the coin-slots.

  • 2-What machines did you previously have? What did you do with them?

  • In 1986 I managed to get my father to buy me a c64. I used it mainly for games.
Later on I got across some demos from groups like Equinoxe, Horizon and Science
and I was highly impressed, but I had no idea how to do what they did.

  • 3-For what specific reason did you end up making music rather than gfx, coding?

  • I seemed to have more talent for music, my friends appeared to like it.

  • 4-Which composing programs have you been using? Which one in particular?

  • oh... A lot of them..
    All the sound/noise/pro trackers offcourse.
    Octamed
    Soundmon, Future composer and Mugician.
Music-X, Bars and Pipes, Cubase and Logic.

The ones that I've used the most are Noisetracker and Cubase.

  • 5-With which module did you feel you had reached your goal?

  • Since my only goal was to have a tune in a demo, which I accomplished with
Agrometral Dream II, I have to say that one.

  • 6-Is there a tune you would like not to remember? For what reason?

  • No.

  • 7-In your opinion, what's the value of a music in a demo, game?

  • The value is great, a crappy tune can make a good demo/game suck.
The opposite is in my opinion also true.

  • 8-At present, are you still composing? For professional or leisure purposes?

  • I have been doing a bit for multimedia presentations etc, but I don't earn my
living making music. My composing is mainly for myself for the time being.

  • 9-What do you think of today's pieces of music such as mpeg,wave,midi,etc...?

  • Eh.. they are fileformats, not music.
    They are all good.

  • 10-Could you tell us some of your all times favourite tunes?

  • I held Uncle Tom pretty high, the tune Occ-San-Geen was amazing at the time.
Overload by Mantronix & Tip, the slow part with the human voice is great.
All the Last Ninja tunes for the 64 version are fantastic.
Heropop II by Mahoney & Kaktus makes me wanna turn back the time to 1990.

  • 11-Are you planning to make an audio cd with some of your music remastered?

  • No

  • 12-What bands are you currently listenning to?

  • This very day I've been enjoying Deftones, Franz Ferdinand, Jose González and
    Kraftwerk.

  • 13-What does/did the amiga/c64 scene give you?

  • Friendship, entertainment and a future.

  • 14-Are you still active in the scene these days?

  • No

  • 15-Anyone to greet? Anything left to say? Feel free...

  • Thunor, where are you?
    Rikard.
    Sir Henry
    Uncle Tom
    Tom Oberheim

Yeah, and never ever buy a synthesizer made later than 1985 unless it's a
    sampler. Analog rules!
