  • 1-How did your interest for computers start? Which year was that?

  • 1984

  • 2-What machines did you previously have? What did you do with them?

  • BBC B Micro : I programmed and composed music in Basic and played games.

  • 3-For what specific reason did you end up making music rather than gfx, coding?

  • I was in love with the sound from the Commodore C64, then I really wanted an
Amiga, I moved to Spain and after 1st year at high school I got good marks
and I got my Amiga 500. The Amiga was the most creative computer then and I
think it still is, I now run WinAUE for games and nostalgia.

  • 4-Which composing programs have you been using? Which one in particular?

  • Ockatlyzer to extract samples from games
    Noistracker version 1.0, 2
    Protracker 3
    Fastracker 2.09
    Ritmo

  • 5-With which module did you feel you had reached your goal?

  • Hard question, I made a module in 2 parts cos the first part had too many
patterns. This is a very cool songs, a sort of progressive funky house,
even before house was really comercialized. I was very proud of this tune,
maybe I will retouch it up a bit, now that I have better samples and stuff.
My latest tracking modules are much more professional.

  • 6-Is there a tune you would like not to remember? For what reason?

  • Not that I can think of.

  • 7-In your opinion, what's the value of a music in a demo, game?

  • I think it is what makes you feel the game or demo, it's inspiring and
produces the ambience that give that game of demo a real meaning. Most people
remember the demo or the game cos of the cool music !

  • 8-At present, are you still composing? For professional or leisure purposes?

  • Yep, mainly for leisure, I have a tune being sold on the market here in Spain
and I am working on new modules which I would like to get pressed on vinyl
so my friends can mix them.

  • 9-What do you think of today's pieces of music such as mpeg,wave,midi,etc...?

  • The more format's the better, becuase formats create different styles and
different markets and listeners. Like OGG, an open licensed MP3 type format,
it had to be made by the demoscene of course ;_)

  • 10-Could you tell us some of your all times favourite tunes?

  • K from Dune (very ambient)
    Realization from Necros
    Haujobb tunes
    Dope from Jugi.
I some old chiptune stuff which I adore.

  • 11-Are you planning to make an audio cd with some of your music remastered?

  • We have a CD currently released, it's selling in the shops at the moment,
and it is going to be redited to produce more copies, cos there is a lot of
demand. I am working alot to produce more classy tracks, mainly deep house,
    tech house and techno.

  • 12-What bands are you currently listenning to?

  • Not many, I mainly listen to records and sessions that dj's send for my
Online Radio "raveface.com" I do like bands like Rage against the machine,
Hybrid Fluke, U2, Pink floyd, Deep purple, Led zeppelin. I don't really
like modern pop bands, they sound a bit too alike.

  • 13-What does/did the amiga/c64 scene give you?

  • Everything. It has made me what I am today. I was the first guy in Spain to
use video screens at rave party's and I used my Amiga 1200 with Scala and I
played Demos on large screens for at least 8.000 people.

  • 14-Are you still active in the scene these days?

  • Well yes, in october last year I organized a 300 computer games party and
played demos on PLASMA screens and large screens in Seville. The festival
is called GATE2FUTURE and will happen every year. I managed the net crew
who built an ultra stable network under using linux in 2 days. They did a
    great job.
