  • 1-How did your interest for computers start? Which year was that?

  • It was year 1984 when I was visiting my very best friend John P. who has bought
Commodore VIC 20 home computer. At that time I had first real contact with
home computers like Spectrum and Aquarius. At the end of same year I got C64 computer and
soon after that I realised that there's much more than just thousand games...

  • 2-What machines did you previously have? What did you do with them?

  • I first had C64 with Cassette station, later 1541 hard drive and
some extra peripherals. First contact with Amiga 1000 came along
right away when it was released. However, my first Amiga was
Amiga 500 and the year was about 1989.

  • 3-For what specific reason did you end up making music rather than gfx, coding?

  • From the beginning I was interested in music rather than gfx or coding.
After buying Amiga 500 I bought also Yamaha SY-22 Synthesizer inspired by
Proton of Complex. Proton had at that time legendary Yamaha DX7 Synthesizer and
some of his musical artwork as well as his friend Jugi of Complex's musical art made
me very interested in composing music. In my near neighbourhood lived at that time
young but growing talent composer called Antti O, better known as Stargazer of Sonic.
Antti gave me also lots of inspiration for composing and many tips and samples.

  • 4-Which composing programs have you been using? Which one in particular?

  • Mostly Protracker but also MIDI compatible programs with Amiga.
    Can't remember software's names anymore.

  • 5-With which module did you feel you had reached your goal?

  • I never composed any top rated tunes but I personally liked
especially from my tunes: Straight to temple, Flower-Rock and
    Smooth Silence v.2.0.

  • 6-Is there a tune you would like not to remember? For what reason?

  • I think that every composer has few non-personal-favourite tunes but I was greatly amused
when I found my early composed tunes from your website. I think some
of those MODs are more or less somekind of "development versions" even
    released as Finals.. :)

  • 7-In your opinion, what's the value of a music in a demo, game?

  • I think that when watching demo or playing game, music plays very
important role. At demos even if there is most brilliant gfx or efects and
marvelous coding and at the same time the music is meaningless or just ordinary piece, demo
loses some of its magic. But in games I think that sometimes even brilliant
music can't save the game if there's plenty of coding bugs or bad gfx. Music must
fits in the picture of whole.

  • 8-At present, are you still composing? For professional or leisure purposes?

  • At present I am not composing anything but time to time I dream of having
time to do that in the future. Maybe someday..

  • 9-What do you think of today's pieces of music such as mpeg,wave,midi,etc...?

  • Today's music is more professional made in home than
back 1980's or 1990's because softwares and equipments
have taken many radical improvements and made is possible
to compose and master music from the beginning to final
    products at home.

  • 10-Could you tell us some of your all times favourite tunes?

  • Space Debris by Captain/Image, Knulla Kuk by Moby, Walkaway by
Stargazer of Sonic and Living In a Dream by Jogeir Liljedahl.
    And many more...

  • 11-Are you planning to make an audio cd with some of your music remastered?

  • Probably not.

  • 12-What bands are you currently listenning to?

  • Mostly Instrumental music used in alternative
healing methods or meditations. Canadien artist
Robert Haig Coxon is one of the greatest as well as
Philip Chapman and Aeoliah's music too. I think ASM'06
Winners are also very good pieces of music, especially
Heavy Metal Ownager by Aikapallo and Uphold the Traditions
    by Roz/Fit.

  • 13-What does/did the amiga/c64 scene give you?

  • I think scene gave me roots for my present
    lifestyle and athmosphere.

  • 14-Are you still active in the scene these days?

  • Nope, however it's interesting to follow up from
the Web what's going on there.

  • 15-Anyone to greet? Anything left to say? Feel free...

  • Greetings to Proton/Complex, Stargazer/Sonic and
all those artists who had composed many masterpieces during
early sceneyears and to those who also composes
    masterpieces in the present...
