  • 1-How did your interest for computers start? Which year was that?

  • Well, I remember my first computer (if you can call it that) was a ZX81, my parents got me one
because they thought it might stop me beating up the dog, it worked well, I dont remember the exact
year but I dont think it was long after the ZX81 came out.

  • 2-What machines did you previously have? What did you do with them?

  • Wow, I think I must have owned them all, although I was only ever into the scene on the Amiga really,
but of course nothing touched the Amiga. As for what these things are doing, well lets just say I
might have the worlds best assortment of doorstoppers.

  • 3-For what specific reason did you end up making music rather than gfx, coding?

  • I have the artistic ability of something thats been dead for a few years, so GFX was always out of
the question, coding was an option for me but while im good at maths, I cant stand it and I've always
been a lover of writing music, when I first laid my hands on a tracker I thought I had died and gone
to heaven. In short it was a no brainer.

  • 4-Which composing programs have you been using? Which one in particular?

  • Very likely all of them on the Amiga I would say, as each new version of a tracker came out, I would
test them and love them all like they were children. I would have to say I spent most of my time in
noisetracker though. these days I use many different softwares but have to say Fruity loops studio is
by far and away my favorite, it has all the pro features of things like Cubase but without all the
    bloat, and crashes ;)

  • 5-With which module did you feel you had reached your goal?

  • None I would say, looking back at the modules I made its kind of embaressing to hear it all but I
guess I started doing it at 13/14 and finished when I was about 15/16, however if I was forced to
pick one song I would say wandering alone was my favorite.

  • 6-Is there a tune you would like not to remember? For what reason?

  • hahaha, all of them, while the old mods have a really unique sound, playing them now can be somewhat
torturous on the ears ;) but I guess what people managed with 4 channels/no effects and so on was
pretty damn stunning, although im not counting my work in that :)

  • 7-In your opinion, what's the value of a music in a demo, game?

  • Music can set moods for a game or demo, providing the coder and the musician works hand in hand to
time things correctly, and their goals for the mood and feel of the project should be similar, when
several minds focus upon the same idea with the same end goal, its impressive what can be achieved.

  • 8-At present, are you still composing? For professional or leisure purposes?

  • Well, after leaving the Amiga scene I went to the PC and was a little gutted that the scene was so
different, also the advent of the internet was a kind of a big change too so for many many years I
never touched music again and went off to do real life work. More recently (roughly two years ago) my
friend passed some of my free time music to a record label, the label contacted me and asked for some
more recent work and asked if I could create a demo of some chill out music, I decided to go with the
flow and filled the request, the label was so happy with the results I was offered a contract for
three albums each printing 30k copies, this contract is over now and im concentrating my efforts on
getting back into computer music for games and so on. So yes I guess im as professional as I'll ever
be and I would have to owe most of the thanks to experience I picked up from the Amiga scene.

  • 9-What do you think of today's pieces of music such as mpeg,wave,midi,etc...?

  • Obviously quality now is a great deal different than the old days, midi can be used in some ways but
its more of a toy, wave is the old trusted audio format.

  • 10-Could you tell us some of your all times favourite tunes?

  • Im guessing this means scene stuff so :

1.Dizzy/CND (although he was more PC) - the man is a living god of trackers.
    2.audiomonster/Silents
3.Nuke/Anarchy (if you read this. hi bud, long time no see :P )

Unfortunatly there are FAR too many good Amiga musicians to mention, I could really go on all day.

  • 11-Are you planning to make an audio cd with some of your music remastered?

  • An interesting though actually, I did attempt to convert some of my old songs but it was kind of
hard, they just cant reach that sound the Amiga had so I very much doubt that I'll go back to my
roots, im more of a person that looks to the future and considers the past a learning experience.

  • 12-What bands are you currently listenning to?
  • Currently I like all good dance music and non dance I have to say Jack Johnson is one of my

favorites, his music just suits any mood.

  • 13-What does/did the amiga/c64 scene give you?

  • Experience, friends, lots of broken floppys, a greater understanding of computers, a greater
understanding of teamwork. Many view the old scenes as a waste of time but I would say its the exact
opposite, I wouldnt be where I am today without it. I feel I owe the scene something back but as the
scene isnt a person or thing I just have to remember it for what it was, a global network of talented
people who shared their skills with each other.

  • 14-Are you still active in the scene these days?

  • Not even close, as some reading might know I have been moderating isonews for about 5 years now but
dropped any illegal scene activity about a year ago so I could focus on leading a life of luxury bars
of soap I buy from my album profits, damn luxury soap rules.

  • 15-Anyone to greet? Anything left to say? Feel free...

  • First and foremost I have to congratulate and thank ALL the staff and visitors at dascene, the site
is truly a monument for old sceners to goto and the work that must have been involved is probably
staggering, its a fantastic site and I give my heart felt thanks to those responsible for making it
    so great.

Other than that I guess "HI MOM!"? greets to all the old sceners that knew me, all the groups I was
in that are still active on the PC, hi to all isonewsers. Peace out to ALL around the world regardless of color or creed.
