Sept. 1971 As my father work with computers, we've "always" had computers at home. And my grandfather also had an Sinclair ZX-81 (with 16 KB of RAM!!) that I could borrow. It must have been around 1980. In the early 80's we had some IBMs and IBM clones (Columbia, Osborne etc.). Bought a C64 in '85 and an Amiga 500 in '87. Still got them both with all accessories, and they actually work! I have played organ/keyboard since the age of 8, so.. combined with my interest for computers... what could be more natural? Always used some tracker. Sound/Protracker. The last one I used was Protracker 3. Propably "Daisy Chain". I belive it was my first "hit". Isn't there always? Well.... I've always made music for myself, music that I like, so... not really. In the first demos made on the amiga/64, it only was there to have some music. But in the later demos, it kinda tied the parts of the demo together. In a game, it is the part that really makes the atmosphere come out. I just HAVE to mention the music in "Donkey Kong Country" on the SNES. Especially the "underwater theme".... ahhhh... just love it. Not active now. Hopefully I'll make some music soon. Bought a keyboard 2 years ago, to learn how to do midi music, but I haven't done anything with it yet. But sooooooon... :) Haven't heard much of the "scene" music, but from what I've heard it's the same as always.... 80% *blargh* and the 20% of music worth listening to... Oh.. there are so many, but here are some (Scenemusic only): Tja Meta Ice (All three by Walkman/IT & CRB) Vertical Sex (B.i.T/CFX) City At Night (4-Mat/Anarchy) Anette (Heatbeat) Madness Took Me (Uncle Tom) and the list goes on and on.... Haven't even thought about it, but now that you mention it... :) Whoa... everything, but at the time of writing in my cd changer: Burlap To Cashmere Beatles Dollie DeLuxe (Norwegian Artist) Dave Mattews Band Bjørn Eidsvåg (Norwegian Artist) Skunk Anansie Richard Wagner ++++ Friends. Friendship that has lasted till now, and I guess will last till I die. Nope. But Ulf (Jackmix/Cryptoburners) and I actually attendend "The Gathering" in the easter of 2001. There has been some talk about starting up Cryptoburners again, and that would have been fun. It would have been fun to hear from some of the dudes I swapped with 10 years ago, Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake - Germany Marcin Dudar - Poland (Don't remember his nickname) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- please note: this interview is ©opyrighted in 2002 by crown of cryptoburners ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
