ZX Spectrum 48k - 1985 , only for playing games. Commodore 64 - 1986 , playing games, some music later on. Amiga 500 - 1988 , Games, trading, gfx, music. Amiga 1200 - ? , Music, Trading. My Amiga 500 was actually stolen at Some party on Samsö/Denmark. I guess I was out partying too much =) Currently I own two MAC's (in the studio), A shitty PC, Atari 1040, a C64 and a Playstation. I bought the c64 to use as a synth, I just have to get a MIDI-interface for it. I started out as a GFX-artist, but left it for the music when I got the A1200. At the university I recently studied at, we coded assembler on the MC68000 =) But that's about all I ever coded. I've always been interrested in music, and I'm happy to be able to make a living out of it today. Mainly Noisetracker (Protracker), but also some wild things like Future Composer and Sonic Arranger. I've also done some things with Fasttracker on the PC. I don't think I've reached my goal with any module, since I'm still composing music (not on amiga though). As a creative producer/musician I set new goals all the time. Well, I guess All Michael Bolton tunes suck, Hes just too much. No, really.. I can't remember any tune I'd like to forget. A demo/game with bad music is like a pizza without doe. Quite messy. It's nice when the soundtrack brings forward the effects on screen in a demo or game. When you can feel and see the tempo at the same time. Today I run a recording studio outside of stockholm together with a friend. We make everything from Pop, Funk, Soul to Big Beats, Techno, Trance. But also alot of Commercials, Radio spots, Sounds for CD-rom productions etc. MP3 together with the internet makes an opportunity for every musician to publish their songs in high quality. And software-synths like Reason, ReBirth etc. makes it affordable and possible for almost anyone with a computer to create High quality music. I think the competition in the electronic music market has rised alot in the last years. Anything made by Romeo Knight and Jester. They've inspired me alot in the past. No, I don't have any such plans for now. Maybe later. Alot of Big Beats and Funk. To name a few: Hardknox, Groove Armada, Chemical Brothers, Fatboy Slim, Midfield General, Isaac Hayes, Curtis Mayfield, Bootsy Collins, James Brown, Maceo Parker, Jimmy Smith, Crystal Method, Bentley Rhythm Ace. But also Alot of Trance-compilations, Trance Nation, Ferry Corsten, Trancemaster etc. First of all it gave me alot of friends, some I still have contact with today. But also lots of fun. It gave me a start in making music, and I'm actually thinking of getting an amiga again to make some modules. Maybe for some competition at some party. Not really, I'm just chatting and sending e-mail to some old friends. I heard that some company would start producing amiga's again. But i doubt the scene will ever be what it once was. Greetz goes out to: All members of Outlaws, Supplex and pRO Arts and to Vegas, Logo7, Mark, WOTW, Free Agent, Marvin, Decca, George II, Natas, Princip, Demax, Dan Banan, Zike & Conqueror, Steel, Mac-TEK, TMS, Kaktus, Acro, sms, Lord Helmet, Aquarius, cybergod, Slayer, Red Devil, snuskis.. I realize I've forgotten the handles of alot of people, sorry about that. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- please note: this interview is ©opyrighted in 2001 by crown of cryptoburners ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
