  • 1-How did your interest for computers start? Which year was that?

  • My older brother Angelo bought a VIC-20 in 1984 and from that point on I have always been interested in computer.

  • 2-What machines did you previously have? What did you do with them?

  • VIC-20 (Playing Games and started programming with Basic), Commodore 128 (programming (remember SPRDEF ?) also used as a C64 to play),

Amiga 500 (Immortal!!) and Amiga 1200 (Programming and composing music). Now I own a PC that I use to compose music (with Cakewalk Sonar)

  • 3-For what specific reason did you end up making music rather than gfx, coding?

  • I play piano since I was 5 and I really liked composing little tunes with tracker programs

  • 4-Which composing programs have you been using? Which one in particular?

  • I composed my tracks on Octamed 5.0 for Amiga. It was a wonderful program!

  • 5-With which module did you feel you had reached your goal?

  • I don't know.. I really enjoyed making some remixes of Star Wars tunes. I've been glad to discover later in the years that also some of my original compositions have been taken by some PD games programmer as soundtrack for their projects.

  • 6-Is there a tune you would like not to remember? For what reason?

  • A lot, but usually I didn't upload them to the Aminet.. :-)

  • 7-In your opinion, what's the value of a music in a demo, game?

  • It's really important, as in the movies. It helps the player to better fit in the experience of the demo/game. A demo or a game without any sound would be strange as looking to a mute movie today. It could be a great movie but you can feel something it's missing...

  • 8-At present, are you still composing? For professional or leisure purposes?

  • Yes, I'm composing mostly for leisure purpose. I play keyboards and vocals in a Coverband named "Braveheart" but I also completed my first CD "Full Moon"... more info on http://www.braveheartlive.com

  • 9-What do you think of today's pieces of music such as mpeg,wave,midi,etc...?

  • It's incredible what can be done with a simple home computer !

  • 10-Could you tell us some of your all times favourite tunes?

  • I remember a lot of tunes from Fabio Barzagli (F.B.Y) on the late '90 and some amiga games tunes (Chuck Rock, Superfrog (from the great Allister Brimble))

  • 11-Are you planning to make an audio cd with some of your music remastered?

  • I planned to make new versions of a couple of tracks composed with Amiga for my next CD. It will be a concept cd based on a fantasy story I started to write but I still don't know how the story will end... :-)

  • 12-What bands are you currently listenning to?

  • My favourite artist is Peter Gabriel. I listen all of his CDs and the Genesis ones. I also like Eric Clapton, Sting and R.E.M. (by the way I like music in general expecially 70's artists)

  • 13-What does/did the amiga/c64 scene give you?

  • The satisfaction to receive comments from all around the world and to partecipate with music to some pd games.

  • 14-Are you still active in the scene these days?

  • No

  • 15-Anyone to greet? Anything left to say? Feel free...

  • My best regards to everyone who knows me and listened to my music. Keep on composing and listening to the music! Life is sad without music!
