A friend of mine had a c64 and we played some games. I did not have contact to the scene so far, but some time later he introduced me to a guy named age. He showed me the first demo i ever saw. IT was some kind of cracktro for a c64 game called no mercy. I was very fascinated by that and started to collect and watch demos. Commodore 64 - Mainly playing games. Some Sid tunes. Some coding. Schneider CPC - Some coding. Amiga 500 - Music. Amiga 1200 - Music. PC - Music. Well, this is pretty simple. I simply can´t paint. I tried to paint some pics to but it looked like some kindergarten picture ;-) . I did some code as well, but i simply was not so much fascinated by that. C64 - Sidmon. Amiga - Soudtracker, Protracker, MED, Octamed, Octalyzer. PC - X-Tracker, Fasttracker, Modplugtracker, Reason, Nuendo, VST Based Software. Suspicous love on amiga. Explicit Coding on PC. The Timegate for Mystic Bytes 40k intro for the nexus party 1995. This one really sucked. It had to be put together in a few hours on a fucked up pc. This was not quite what i wanted it to be. I hold the opinion that music is as important as the other parts. not more, not less. A production that lacks good music can get boring very soon. The music is a means to perfect a demo or a game. It can add atmosphere and perfects the character of a production. Well i do still compose, but not for any demos. We have a local hiphop crew in our area, for which hmc and me do provide beats and instrumentals. This has two sides. (As most things) The good thing about todays music files is, that good musicians can create the tunes as they want them to be more easily. The bad thing is that lamers can easily sample and rip stuff and put togehter tunes that suck... I simply can´t stand those boom boom techno shit. HMC - Naturality 2 HMC - Evil Hordes HMC - Dream on / Dream off Jester - Stardust Memories Jester - Elysium Romeo Knight - Cosmic Dog Virgill - Interference Doc Holiday & Twilight - Clairvoyance Jesper Kyd - Global Trash 3 v2 Purple Motion - Unreal 2 Sicomicanico - Castaway Hunz - Clone it Pepe - Entering Cyberspace Wildfire? - In full effect demo tunes. just to name some that come into my mind first. Yes, definitely. U2, Depeche Mode, New Order, Mood, Jedi Mind Tricks, Hieroglyphics, Styles of Beyond, Bomb tha Bass, Massive Attack. A very entertaining and great time and a good start to my hobbies and my work. No, unfortunately not. HMC Twilight (Daniel Hansen) Orbit Sting Alpha / LEgend Design (Karsten Rohrbach) Pepe / Subzero (Dirk) Yazz / Haujobb. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- please note: this interview is ©opyrighted in 2001 by crown of cryptoburners ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
