  • 1-How did your interest for computers start? Which year was that?

  • somewhere arround 1984, i got my first c64 then.

  • 2-What machines did you previously have? What did you do with them?

  • c64, schneider cpc, atari 800xl, amiga 500, amiga 2000, amiga 1200

basically, i played a lot of games back in the c64 time but i was
very interested in demos/intros/cracktros (without really understanding
whats happening there, i was minda too young) when seeing them. with
the amiga, the joy in watching demos and intros growed. my first demo
    on a500 was "budbrain megademo".

  • 3-For what specific reason did you end up making music rather than gfx, coding?

  • well - there is no special reason. i liked doing music since i got the
amiga 500 and the soundtracker. besides, this hasn´t changed something
nowadays. im still doing musics now - but with other programs (mainly
    fasttracker2)

  • 4-Which composing programs have you been using? Which one in particular?

  • well, it started with soundtracker and st-01 to st-03 (you all know
this ugly samples :)). later, i started using the heartracker (which
was a slightly different version from the original protracker). that
was on amiga. like mentioned above, im using ft2 nowadays. im also
fiddling arround with programs like "reason" or "fruity loops"...

  • 5-With which module did you feel you had reached your goal?

  • hm. hard to say. i think it is "tre-nox-part-2" on amiga.
i did this module in my live-act times. i had to use
programs like "mod2sample" in order to do real percussion
tracks, without wasting the whole pattern (hehe, amiga
musicans should know this!). well, im still making music
witht the pc - but i dont have a track which i think of that
it has "reached my goal". who knows - maybe one day i´ll
do _the_ perfect song (i rather doubt it :))

  • 6-Is there a tune you would like not to remember? For what reason?

  • well - im keeping all the crap stuff on my hdd and i dont release
it for any productions. but hey, there are some tunes, i´d like
to forget. they were pretty limited in size because they had to
fit in cracktros. i was only able to 4chan mods (i still dont know
why...), thus the quality isnt top notch! hm...

  • 7-In your opinion, what's the value of a music in a demo, game?

  • hm, i think music is _everything_, especially in demos. i dont
think that all games, for example shooters or strategy games
need any special music. sure, there are games like sotb on amiga
which would suck w/o music, but in my opinion music is only absolutely
    necessary in demos.

  • 8-At present, are you still composing? For professional or leisure purposes?

  • well, like i told above, im still doing stuff. its for leisure
    purposes
    (for intros, demos, cracktros etc..)

  • 9-What do you think of today's pieces of music such as mpeg,wave,midi,etc...?

  • a tracked module is the best module. nuff said. ;)

  • 10-Could you tell us some of your all times favourite tunes?

  • yep: on amiga:

    "just for blues" by dizzy/cncd
    "step into darkness" by randal
    "guitar slinger" by jogeir liljedahl

    on pc:

    "counting stars" by radix
    "b.o.h.d." by nagz/greenroom
    "commando remix" by instant remedy

  • 11-Are you planning to make an audio cd with some of your music remastered?

  • nope.

  • 12-What bands are you currently listenning to?

  • i dont have any favourite band atm. i like music, when i think it´s
    "good" music.

    but i really like:

    chemical brothers
    aphex twin
    mozart
    emerson, lake & palmer
    st germain

  • 13-What does/did the amiga/c64 scene give you?

  • friendship & good demo-scene parties.

  • 14-Are you still active in the scene these days?

  • yes.

  • 15-Anyone to greet? Anything left to say? Feel free...

  • nope. thank you, drive through. got questions? send mail! ;)
