I played games on it. I watched my mom writing in some simple basic routines which she learned on EDB-course. I started programming small routines just for fun. I loved this. And I don't regret that at all. My first machine was the first videogame console.. the one with analogue joystick. The graphics where junk. Later I got this Coleco Vision console. This one had more cool games to it. But it crashed a lot. Coleco was a formerly a swimingpool company that got into the videogameconsole business. In '86 I got a C64 for Christmas and this computer I used for gaming and programming. In 1989 bought an Amiga 500. It was on the A500 I discovered noise/protracker at a friends house. It was cool to sample and pitch sounds so I experimented with fitting samples together making music. Later, in 1994 I bought my humble a1200 which I upgraded to 68060 and this computer I used for almost 6years! It has been one of my most beloved computers back in time. The only thing I regret, why use so much money on the modem-line. God!!! I am shitty at drawing anything. You should (not) see my hand writing. I was taking pianolessons at the time and therefore it was natural to experiment with sounds. I used noisetracker and protracker. Protracker in particular. After I left the scene in 1996, I had hooked up synths to my A1200 with midi and I used MusicX and another midi program which I don't remember. I don't know. Maybe Alien Element or a forest of love. I never felt that I got famous. The beauty with the computer scene is that You can be an amateur and make great tunes on a limited amount of channels and still get some recognitions from it. Yes maybe.. I made this tune in 1994 called ChaoticEchos. It's a neat hardcore tune, but I ripped too many samples from a very popular kefrens musician. Sounds great but its not cool to steal samples. Not like that. hehe The music in a demo creates the atmosphere around the demo. Without sounds, the demos are dull. Not much. I've been playing with midi-sequencing of some 303-clone synthesisers. Nothing big. I used to have much more time doing that back in the scene days. I'm only a year from finishing off my telecomengineer studies. It takes a lot of time! I think mp3 is a format that fit music produced for listening quite well. Mp3 is a smart way to compress large HQ wavs and I think that is good thing for many amateur musicians who want to have samples of their work on their websites. General midi is shitty. It was a good idea to have a standardized set of instrument, but its too limited in functions and music is crap. Todays music is better than the 80/90'es. There was a lot of crappy dance tunes. I never listened to the radio. Mutant's Lutefisk-vegring. This piece brings back a lot of memories. And his song: Gulars I farta too. I've been searching for the gelly tune lutefisk almost 10years now, and found it here at A.M.P!!!! Thanks a lot Curt and Crown. You are doing great! Jogeir Liljedahl's L.O.V.E. demo tune. I've done a cd with some of my music done on synths. That must have been one of my most trivial works. Biosphere, Brian Eno, Aphex Twin, Sophie A.Bexter, Slinky The Amiga scene gave me a lot of new friends. And a lot of experience I would never gotten elsewhere. It gave me a lot of good memories I will take with me until I die. I will never forget my contacts in the scene. You all know who you are! Respect!
