  • 1-How did your interest for computers start? Which year was that?

  • I believe my interest for computers started back in the 80's sometime when my
father was kind enough to buy me a Commodore 64.

  • 2-What machines did you previously have? What did you do with them?

  • The Commodore was my first real computer. Though, I did have a console for
games only which I can't remember the name of.

  • 3-For what specific reason did you end up making music rather than gfx, coding?

  • Actually it was kind of a coincidente. I was visitin a friend of mine and
fooling around with some games when another friend of mine came by with some
disks with new programmes and games. One of those discs included Protracker
3.10, and I became very interested with it after playing some of the older
Dr.Awesome tunes which were included on the same disk. I believe those tunes
were "Tied Up" and "Sahara". :) And ofcourse, I have always been kind of
musical. Got my first keyboard at the age of 12.

  • 4-Which composing programs have you been using? Which one in particular?

  • While I was using the Amiga my main program became Fasttracker 3.15. I
couldn't stand Octamed like many other sceners. As I entered the world of PC's
I turned to Fasttracker 2. It was a relief to have more than 4 channels to
fool around with. I could suddenly do my strings background easily using 10
channels. Usually, I would have the opportunity to use one of the channels on
    the Amiga for that.

  • 5-With which module did you feel you had reached your goal?

  • Thats a hard question to answer really. My goal was to constantly better
myself on all levels. So I wouldn't say that I achieved that goal with one
single song. Though, there were many tunes I prefered over others.

  • 6-Is there a tune you would like not to remember? For what reason?

  • Hehe. Well, I would think there are many. :) Some of my first tunes are really
embarrasing to listen to now and I would like to try and forget about those.
They are poorly arranged, often with 3 lead solos at ones etc. :)

  • 7-In your opinion, what's the value of a music in a demo, game?

  • In a demo I think music is everything. I can't stand demos where the music is
totally without melody and harmony, like some of the newer ones. I haven't
really seen many demos the last years, but I remember that demo music was
leening into the drum&bass type of music at the end. The music in demos like
Boost by DSD and the tune Ultimate Seduction that Slide did for one of the
Polka Brothers demos, they were great. I guess music is important in games to,
but not in the same sense as in demos.

  • 8-At present, are you still composing? For professional or leisure purposes?

  • Yeah, I'm still composing. For both professional or leisure purposes. I'm
doing a project now with two female vocalists that are taking up alot of time.
Besides that I'm also doing some music for personal purposes. You can check it
    out on my homepage.

  • 9-What do you think of today's pieces of music such as mpeg,wave,midi,etc...?

  • I can't stand the 128 kbps quality that's in most of all mp3's. Though, I love
the oppurtunity to do things that take up alot more diskspace and comprimize
it to 10% of it's original size. I haven't started fiddling around with MIDI
yet, not at home anyway. Using that in the studio though.

  • 10-Could you tell us some of your all times favourite tunes?

  • Hmm. I guess Space Debris is one of those tunes I'll never forget. Totally
awesome chord progression and harmonies. The music of Jogeir is also worth
mentioning. When it comes to professional music i would have to say Amarok
by Mike Oldfield and all songs by Pink Floyd. ;)

  • 11-Are you planning to make an audio cd with some of your music remastered?

  • I've actually done a CD allready which consists of 19 tracks. Those are all
tunes I've done over the years with remastering. Check it out at
www.shadowmind.cjb.net Currently I'm doing music for my next CD project.
Though, I have only 5 songs ready and I'm known for using quite alot of
    time on my music. :)

  • 12-What bands are you currently listenning to?

  • Many! I'm very much into the progressive rock scene right now. So bands like
Dream Theater, The Flower Kings and Arena are the most frequent visitors in
my CD player. I also listen to Bach and Satie at the moment.

  • 13-What does/did the amiga/c64 scene give you?

  • Alot! I had alot of fun beeing part of the Amiga scene. I've made lots of
Friends which I have contact with even today. People like Mikael Fyrek (Some1)
and Tore Skåra (pOW) are both very good friends of mine which I got to know
because of the scene. Besides that, all the musicians in the scene were a
great inspiration for me and I loved listening to their music when I was
younger. Like Jogeir, Moby, Spaceman and others.

  • 14-Are you still active in the scene these days?

  • No, not really. I'm mainly doing music for all people to listen and not
especially for a demo or music disk. I upload all my new music to mp3.com so
that all who wants to can download and listen.

  • 15-Anyone to greet? Anything left to say? Feel free...

  • I have to greet my partner in crime pOW, even though I haven't seen him for
awhile. Also some hi and hello's to Some1 and Warder. If you are interested
in hearing some of my music enter my homepage at http://www.spindizzy.cjb.net.
    Take care all! :) Bye.
