    Handle: Strike, Hazel

Group: Vicious, Stash.. i think i was in the groups like Capitol, Origin,
Axis for some time but they never used any music I made :)

    Date of birth: 17 07 74

  • 1-How did your interest for computers start? Which year was that?

  • i got an amiga 1000 from my father in 86 or so... i was allways
into technical stuff, electronics, lego and he figured i would
be good for my education.... he was right :)

  • 2-What machines did you previously have? What did you do with them?

  • the amiga 1000 was my first computer after that i got...
in order of apearance: atari st, amiga 600, pc, c64, msx, 2 more c64's,
another pc, play station, and the ehmm nintendo 8bit, 5 more c64's and
    4 pc's or something...

  • 3-For what specific reason did you end up making music rather than gfx, coding?

  • I had a love for music as long as I can remember, i was composing
before i had my first computer. i was coding and doing gfx allso
but i just put more time and efford in the music part, thus i
was much better in making music than gfx or coding.

  • 4-Which composing programs have you been using? Which one in particular?

  • protracker i used the most... besides that i used noise and star
tracker, octamed on amiga. fast tracker on pc, cubase on atari,
dmc and future composer on c64. and today i use logic on pc and
    sometimes modplug tracker.

  • 5-With which module did you feel you had reached your goal?

  • when i just finished a mod i allways think it's the best ever :)
looking back none of them are flawless. i lost allmost all
my modules (crashing HD's and lost disks), i would love to get
some of them back if people still have them. two of my favorite
modules today are "bass battles" and "live in the bedroom"

  • 6-Is there a tune you would like not to remember? For what reason?

  • i gues the tunes i would not like to remember... i don't remeber :)
    really!

  • 7-In your opinion, what's the value of a music in a demo, game?

  • music is EQUAL to gfx... this is what people forget all the time.
that's why i like some c64 demos so much...

  • 8-At present, are you still composing? For professional or leisure purposes?

  • at present i am what you call a "recording artits" :)) i
listed some of my released projects under "handels"

  • 9-What do you think of today's pieces of music such as mpeg,wave,midi,etc...?

  • I miss the "all containing" file formats of the past.... there's
nothing greater than saving something and being able to take it to
any computer and it will sound the same but still be editable.
Trackers are still very cool but lack the composing/production power
of things like logic or protools.

  • 10-Could you tell us some of your all times favourite tunes?

  • for me there is no alltime favourite, i have favourite composers
though... mitch and dane, drax, 4matt are the 1st i'm thinking of

  • 11-Are you planning to make an audio cd with some of your music remastered?

  • if i could find enough modules back i would remaster them
and put them on my site or something.

  • 12-What bands are you currently listenning to?

  • from missy elliott to fu manchu, the cardigans to controlled demolition

  • 13-What does/did the amiga/c64 scene give you?

  • a very good ear, and a never ending love for computer related
    composing

  • 14-Are you still active in the scene these days?

  • nope.

  • 15-Anyone to greet? Anything left to say? Feel free...

  • ehmmm... thanks 4 the interview. i do c64 dj-sets.
