  • 1-How did your interest for computers start? Which year was that?

  • I started gaming with an Atari 2600 Console, then I got a C-64 with a
datasette, one year later a 1541 Floppy. I was only interested in gaming
that time (I was 12-14 years old I think - don't remember exactly).

Then I bought a C-128 and began some coding just-4-fun in Basic, but not much.
Next machine was an Amiga 500 and I got interested in (Mega-)demos, 'coz I saw
Fairlight & Northstar Megademo III, Deathstar Megademo and some others.

  • 2-What machines did you previously have? What did you do with them?

  • - C-64 Games
    - C-128 Games, Coding Basic
    - Amiga 500 Games, Music

  • 3-For what specific reason did you end up making music rather than gfx, coding?

  • I played keyboard for few years and a like music. I'm not an gfx-artist (looks
ugly :) and I tried a little bit coding in assembler but I didn't know anyone
who could help me and so Soundtracker, Noisetracker and Protracker became my
    world.

  • 4-Which composing programs have you been using? Which one in particular?

  • First it was Soundtracker (Version 2.4 I think - is that right?), then
Noisetracker and most tunes I made with Protracker. That was the very best
tracker. First versions where not so stable, but it became better with every
    release.

  • 5-With which module did you feel you had reached your goal?

  • None :)

  • 6-Is there a tune you would like not to remember? For what reason?

  • No - even if my first tunes sounded "crazy": these where my first steps,
with every tune I learned doing better.

  • 7-In your opinion, what's the value of a music in a demo, game?

  • I hate music in games, I don't like music during playing. Anyway: Many games
had very good music, remember the tunes from Rob Hubbard (Commando was the very
best), Martin Galway or Chris Hülsbeck (Giana Sisters, To be on top were great
    and are covered on today...).

In a demo I like music. A demo with bad music is a bad demo. Some demos were
only said to be good 'coz of the music (Red Sector's "Follow me").

  • 8-At present, are you still composing? For professional or leisure purposes?

  • No. I would like to compose 'coz I saw some trackers on pc, but time is missing
'coz of job, family and sports. Today I am a coder - in my job :)

  • 9-What do you think of today's pieces of music such as mpeg,wave,midi,etc...?

  • Music is independent from it's format. If it's mp3, wav, midi or a module (it,
    s3m, ...) - if I like the tune, I will collect it. But I think, today's tunes
in demos (sometimes I download some pc-demos) are not that good than those great
tunes from guys like 4-mat, Uncle Tom, Jesper Kyd, Dr. Awesome, Jester, etc.
Those guys had their own style of music.

  • 10-Could you tell us some of your all times favourite tunes?

  • Heatbeat - Hunt for 7th october
    Dr. Awesome - Space Deliria
  • 4-Mat - Phantasmagoria
  • 4-Mat - Madness
  • Uncle Tom - Occ San Geen
Romeo Knight - Cream of the earth
    Moby - Pelforth Blues
    Mantronix & Tip - Enigma
    Jester - Elysium
    Firefox - Tune from "Animotion"-Demo
    Rob Hubbard - Commando
Chris Hülsbeck - Giana Sisters Title
    ... and many others ...

  • 11-Are you planning to make an audio cd with some of your music remastered?

  • No. I made a audio-cd from my tunes for my own...

  • 12-What bands are you currently listenning to?

  • No special band. I like Bryan Adams, The men they couldn't hang, Rodgau
Monotones, Runrig, Hooters and some others. I listen to the radio every day
and I like some music from the charts, but I also hate some of those songs.

  • 13-What does/did the amiga/c64 scene give you?

  • It was a very good time and I had some really cool friends those days. Too bad
that I am only with one of those guys still in contact. We don't see each other
often, but I think he's a very good friend.

  • 14-Are you still active in the scene these days?

  • No. I am just downloading pc-demos sometimes.

  • 15-Anyone to greet? Anything left to say? Feel free...

  • Yeah - many greetinx to Fowl (as I said above: Still a very good friend :)
and also many greetinx to my ex-contacts:
    - Stookie of Dual Crew
    - Billy the Kid of Grace (Fabio Invernizzi)
    - Lucas of Majic 12
    - Hajo N. (Ex-Coder of Decade)
    - Archie of Addonic
    - Salva of Darkness (Salvador de la Rosa)
    - Jim Beam of Decade (Marc Rieker)
    - Survivor of Prologic (Patrick Schütz)
    - Thomas Schmidt
    - Fred :)
    - Troglobyte of Darkness
    - Ralf Zwierzina (Ex-Coder of Prologic)
    - all the other guys of Decade and Prologic

and all the other guys I saw on Party's (Dexion X-Mas Party 1990 was coooool!),
    meetinx, ...

If anyone of you is still alive - contact me per mail :)
