Nothing. Nothing. I've never been that interested in computers. What people did with those machines gave me this interest. It was the easiest thing for a teen with a bad concentration. I had no previous experience in music, so I've had to learn everything the hard way. And there's still a lot to learn. C64: DMC Amiga: Protracker PC: Scream Tracker, now Impulse Tracker None of them I guess. Maybe some kind of joketunes have served their purposes completely, but none of the "serious" tunes have. Sure my chiptunes are better and more ambitious than what anybody wrote in the beginning of 90s (with the exception of Stello Doussis), but I'm not sure if it's a good thing. All the 1995-1998 crap. But I think nobody's heard those (and very few have heard any of my stuff at all) Big value in demo, I don't know about games. But I guess today's games have shitloada background music and one title-theme. I'm not interested in gamemusic at all. Or games with more than 16 colors. I'm taking a pause now to concentrate on graphics again, and because Impulse Tracker refuses to work under Win ME. I'd like to do music for a GBA game. More possibilities. More crappy music. I really don't follow what's coming out these days. They made enough kickass material in the 70s alone to keep me occupied for the rest of my life. There's a lot. Although I think about 95% of the music done in the demoscene is uninteresting and clumsy, there have been many gifted and creative composers. I could mention about 20 names, but Dizzy outpaces them all :) I'd rather move on. Only Miles Davis at the moment. During this past year I've been also listening to a lot of bebop, fusionjazz and progressive rock. Bad habits and good friends. Seriously, it has given me a lot, but I doubt the scene and what coming out of it will influece me that much anymore. But still, it's hard for me to think of what I might be without it. Sounds pathetic, but it's not.
