Interview
`n. .rP' `qb ,dP' TLb. ,dMP' all rite, now you get the chance to read TML.dMMP some facts about some of the major amiga ,nmm`XXMPX musicians. read about their history in ,#MP'~~XNXYNXTb. the scene and their plans in future.yes, ,d~' dNNP `YNTb. that's meant to be read while listening to ,~ ,NN' `YNb their modules. read 'em over and over and over.. dNP `Yb. ,NN' `b. · i n t e r v i e w · ___________ ______dP _____________ \ / \ ,N'\____ _____________. _____ \ \_____. ____\ / \___P___/ .\--\__ __/__ |--\____)---\ _____/__ |--\_ \ _/ | | | \ | | \__| | _ \ / | \__| | /\ | | _| | | _l_ | | \ / _l_ | ___| l___/=l___|====l____/===\______|==l______|\ /l___/===\______l____/ \/ Handle: Tentacle Group: Creative Minds Date of birth: 01.05.1979 1992 - I bought my first Computer, a C-64 of course :) that time I used it primary to play and get a common understanding of computers 1992 - c64 - see above. 1993 - snes - playing, what else. 1994 - 486dx2/66 - playing, starting with the usual stuff (first contact with audio editors/trackers/grafik programms/etc..). 1996 - p1-133 - same as before plus starting programming in c and other stuff, making music with ft2. 1999 - p2-350 - programming delphi, lot of sounding with ft2 and starting with midi (plus equipment), sound for a demo. 2002 - p3-1000 - programming massive delphi, starting with java, oracle, grafik for a demo. main focus still on music. i love it to make music because it's more abtract than e.g. gfx. i also like it to code because it's even more complex and sometimes i make gfx, but that isn't the point - being creative at a high level is importent to me. however, it's more complex to make good multilayered music than pixel around, and i like complex things :) on pc i started with some garbage called whacker tracker, but after a period of time i discovered fast tracker. a half year later i saw ft2 on a friends computer and i was awesome by those improvments made by triton. other programs i used are cubase, logic audio, sound forge, wavelab and some plugins sometimes modplugtracker, samplitude, recycle, rebirth, reason, fruity loops 3. none, therefore i changed to midi. modules taste for me personaly to static. no game - depends on the game, normly the soundtrack should give the game an good atmosphere. demo - meanwhile essential (if not 256byte/~4k ;) at the moment i am making musik just for my own pleasure to improve my skills. maybe i release something at ms02 every format has its own dis-/advantage and is designed for a special application. hoping wma wont set up. mod's will survive the next years, pc is now standard and tools like fruity loop with synth became the new tracking standards in my eyes. midi will not be shared in the same way like module, etc.. because they depend on your music equipment enviroment. there is to many confusion in relation of general midi at the beginners side. wont fit this list ;) but at the moment i am loving "shpongle" and their awesome track "dmt". you really should check them out! other tracks everyone should heared in his life: soundtracks: turrican 2, last ninja, lotus 3... some tracks of: slice (now slc), maketone, tbl, kb, rbs, niklaus lundqvist, Chris Huelsbeck music: shpongle, spacecat, vibeasphere, cosmosis, america, analog pussy, astral projection, electric universe, etnica, genetic, hallocinogen, inddor, jupiter 8000, lunar, man with no name. mfg, psychonaut, ololiqui, oforia, sun project, prana, shiva shandra, terra ferma, the delta, welle erdball, ........ at the moment - nope, not planned shpongle, and a lot of goa/psytrance, see list i love the music, it inspires me. sometimes strange, sometimes great. yes. at the moment working on our democontribution for ms02. hoping to have more time to work on my music. damn, why is the sidstation/machinedrum soooooo expensive :( greetings fly to my family and friends, infinity & spirit & alpha1/creative minds, the guy's from creative mind (did you noticed the missing 's' ;), rincewind, my frieds from the it9c of g18. sul/teklords (where's your answer?) crown, thank you for the interview ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- please note: this interview is ©opyrighted in 2002 by crown of cryptoburners ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
