I guess I felt in love because I didn't waited to buy, with some birthday money, a TO7 for my personal purposes... In fact I was hopping to get the top of my class by owning the computer that we were using at school :) ... at this time I was aged 9 and I started to code on TO7 Basic. So I owned a TO7 to code on Basic, and I owned it a looooong time. My parents where not very pleased that I was "loosing time" with computers so I was not allowed to buy myself another machine before I had reached a litle economical independence. In 1992, after some long summer works, I bought a A1200, it was only my 2nd machine. Since I owned my A1200, I started to touch mainly music and gfx, by the way I was more making music. I guess that it was a "new thing" attract, because I was coding Basic since a long time, and I felt less motivated to start new languages on Amiga (but keeping an eye on it for the future). concerning gfx, it was the main thing that makes me bought an Amiga, but I used to be a good hand-drawer and my first attempts to mouse-drawing were quite deceptive, so, as computer music was new and very attractive for me, I started to make more. First I used was DSS8 which was provided in coverdisk of a new (at this time) french amiga magazine, when I started to make music "more seriously" I get ProTracker and I used it a long time. Finnaly I have switched to DigiBooster, and it was for me, the ultimate tracker. I think it was with the "DeathTrial" soundtrack, specialy with the openning, when I started to make music, I was dreaming to make such a soundtrack. A lot! :) Maybe the music from "scream thy last scream" was the worst, but it was the goal :) Well, try to imagine what could be the "start of the art" demo with music from a Mireille Mathieu Album, and I think that you'll understand that music is very important :) Music is deserving the Ambiance of a demo, you can send many feelings just with the music, in mankind we have workd a lot with this, it was more important to make a music that was throwing specific feels than to make a technicaly Good Quality music. no, I would like to, but I miss some time, maybe in a near future, when i'll get very rich ;) Simply new support, the more important is the music, not the tools you use to make it. Many... specialy musics by Groo, Muffler, Jogeir, Moby, HeatBeat, AudioMonster... No, definitively no, I think people will thanks me in the future :D More seriously, if I had time, why not, but i'll try to make something better that I used to :) Massive Attack, Archive(Londinium), Placebo A lot of friends. A lot of Enjoy. The passion. The oportunity to make long trips in Renault5. Yes, I get involved in some party organising, and sometimes i'm making a music to help my group. I would like to send big greets to the whole mankind staff that I respect a lot and I consider like my second familly. We are now meeting less and I miss them a lot. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- please note: this interview is ©opyrighted in 2005 by crown of cryptoburners ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
