It was in 1984. Then I started to ask for a computer to my family. In december of 1985 I get my first computer, an Amstrad CPC6128. I was 10 years old and this computer was for me like an open door to a new world. Amstrad CPC6128. I used to play games and a started to learn programing languages (BASIC and Z80 assembler). I also built a 8 bit sampler and I started to make my first songs with chip sounds. In 1992 I bought my Amiga 2000 and I enjoyed so much with its games. Some months later I discovered the trackers (Protracker and Octamed). Because I love music and I studied music since I was 5 years old. I love to play the piano and guitar. Today I have a Kawai ES-4 digital piano and I used to play some songs I composed for Amiga 15 years ago (for example, my mod Natasha). I started with Octamed but when I started to play in the demoscene I was using Protracker. During some time I was using FastTracker on PC and I have some modules composed for it. Uhm... Supreme. It was my last Amiga Mod and I'm very proud of it. Yes, of course. There was a Mod I had composed. I loved it and before to publish it a virus destroys it and I never could recover it. Even today I can remeber how does it sounds... but I never tried to do it again. I don't like to remeber this Mod. In my opinion I think is a very important thing. The music in a demo or in a game is like the soundtrack of a film. There is very famous films that without his soundtrack probably were not so much famous. Today, the music of a game has almost the same level as a Hollywood production. Yes, I'm still composing for leisure purposes. I like to compose for piano. I use my keyboard connecting via MIDI to my computer to record MIDI files. It is other formats for other purposes. A module in Amiga represents an effort to join samples and scores in a very small amount of memory. Today this is not necessary and we have big amounts of memory an faster processors. Midi is a good standard for sequencing, Wave is the sound directly and now there is some interesting software like Fruit Loops Studio that combines sequencing concepts with the classical tracker concepts and it has his own file formats. The music of the demo Arte/Sanity and The world of commodore Amiga/Sanity. I think about it a lot of times... and I would like to do it but until now I was so lazy... My favourite bands are U2, Depeche Mode and The Cure. Also I'm listennig more recent bands like Prodigy, Chemical Brother or Moby. My favoutite spanish bands are Amaral, Extremoduro and Heroes del Silencio. A lot of hours of fun, to know a lot of interesting people and to live a very interesting time in the history of computers, before the Internet revolution. No, I left the scene in 1996. I would like to greet to my group mates of Sepultura, Barman, Derethor and to Meigamiga. I think We live in the same city (in A Coruña, Spain) but I've never seen them again. And I also want to greet you, Crown, for make this web page. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- please note: this interview is ©opyrighted in 2006 by crown of cryptoburners ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
