  • 1-How did your interest for computers start? Which year was that?

  • Long ago back in 1980 my dad brought an Apple 2 home from his work.
There I saw the first games like : Castle Wolfenstein, thats the real
grandfather of all Doom, Duke Nukem, Quake etc games.
I started playing, I know I was little but my interest was born.

  • 2-What machines did you previously have? What did you do with them?

  • I got the Apple 2 in 1982 because it was too old again
I got an Amiga 500 round 1988 and started to make music on it
Bought my own Amiga 1200 round 1995 I guess
Ehm I have a PC, 386, but only for converting mys wave files or aiff files
to my Roland sampler format. Shame that there isn't any program on the Amiga
    which can do that

  • 3-For what specific reason did you end up making music rather than gfx, coding?

  • 1st off all I tried to draw, but that didn't work :)
2nd I tried to code, still have some sources here on my computer but you won't
get them, they are very awful ;)
Well 3th I tried making music and that went ok.
Well in the beginning it was just pasting long samples after each other.

  • 4-Which composing programs have you been using? Which one in particular?

  • I only used Soundtracker, Noisetracker and Protracker.
Protracker in particulair and the version I used and still use but not often is
    version 2.3 D (AGA Fix) I love 4 channel music :)

  • 5-With which module did you feel you had reached your goal?

  • Ehm the module from the "Somewhere In Holland" invintation ehm I have to look
up the name 1 moment...... The Tribute Remix

  • 6-Is there a tune you would like not to remember? For What reason?

  • Yes thats a tune, I don't even know the name of it I don't have it anymore,
but its quite old and I made it because a friend of mine was caught by the police
and he is still in jail ;( I think its 4 years back now, but don't try to
search for an unreleased module from me on Aminet, it isn't there.
I think I have it on a floppydisk somewhere if that disk is still alive

  • 7-In your opinion, what's the value of a music in a demo, game?

  • Ehm a demo without music isn't a nice demo, thats my opinion, but then again
without gfx or effects you also don't have a demo.
I'm happy with my PSX these days, but I think the music from the games
on the PSX sucks. Some tunes are ok but you never hear the underground
music I like or make, just the plain commercial gametunes

  • 8-At present, are you still composing? For professional or leisure purposes?

  • Yep for professional purposes.
My 12" on vinyl has just been released and my own CD will be released somewhere
in july of this year. I must say that the music on it is very strange and
underground that I don't think you can order it outside The Netherlands :(

Second I'm also negociating with TRSI records but I haven't heard from them
in a long time, they also want to release some music of me on one of their
    compilation CD's

  • 9-What do you think of today's pieces of music such as mpeg,wave,midi,etc...?

  • I like MPeg but my Amiga has too much troubles playing it.
I like wave files, I make them to put on my homepage, hmm still have
    to put them online.

I like midi but its soo fucking slow :( Did ya know that, Yamaha I believe,
is busy develloping a new kind of midi. I hope it will work also for the
other companies like Roland, Korg etc

I like DAT the best but ok thats oncompressed music.
I have a DAT recoder and a Minidisc recoder but MD is quite bad, also
the new edition. I started testing the MD when I got my DAT recorder.
I recorded teh same time the same song on DAT and MD. When playing it back
the MD had filtered some frequencies because some sounds of my Synths were to
    high for it ......

Hey you freaks at SONY !!! Try to make a MD without compression or almost no
    compression !!!

  • 10-Could you tell us some of your all times favourite tunes?

  • Ehm as modules or real tunes ???

I like "Sweet harmony" thats a breakbeat tune back from 1992
Also Jhonny L from that time with "Hurt me so"
But I also like the music of today, the new one from Madonna with the dogs
    on the beach.
Yeah I know almost every sound used in that tune has been stolen.
I myself have most of them on my harddisk, but isn't that the music of today ?
I like barbie girl from Aqua, not really the music but all in one piece
Last but not least, I like john miles with "Music was my first love"
Thats really a good piece of music

  • 11-Are you planning to make an audio cd with some of your music remastered?

  • Nope, no modules on my CD.
As I said before, I'm working on my own CD. It's almost finished but all music
on it comes from my synths and samplers. I have a lot of equipment. Some
breakbeats were converted from my Amiga to my sampler, but I don't want
to remaster a module to put on CD.

  • 12-What bands are you currently listenning to?

  • At the moment while typing this text I'm listening to a nonstop house clubmix
from Radio 538 which I recorded on my tapedeck. I believe I recorded it on my
largest tape, Its for 6 hours nonstop. It was a special transmission this weekend.

Ehm I like to hear the music of the CD "Judgement nigh"
I like the Insame Clown Posse
I even like Frank Sinatra but I don't listen to him very often
I listen very often to the Future Sound Of Londen, but ok I have all their
stuff on CD. Even the ones that were only released on vinyl were put on
CD by a friend of mine :)
I did like the prodigy but I think they are getting too commercial these dayz

  • 13-What does/did the amiga/c64 scene give you?

  • Nothing :)
    No that ain't true.
I got famous a bit while being in Mono.
We even have released some demos while being in Reality.
Making these demos was the fun stuff.
I went several times to The Party in Denmark and I liked it a lot.
I also went 2 times to The Symposium in Germany and I also liked this a lot
but the scene, well it was there. I became older and older and I had too make
way for new musicians, so I left.

  • 14-Are you still active in the scene these days?

  • Nope

  • 15-Anyone to greet? Anything left to say? Feel free...

  • Ehm, I like to thank a few persons who made it possible for me
to make the music I create today.

    First of all
-Robby Boy : Party animal and maybe a future arf! member ???
-Offcourse my mum and dad who had to listen to my music even

    -Lowlife from Axis

    -Wout O matic
