After I got A500 I was able to try it out myself, and damn, I liked it. After that I have also practised graphics and coding but music has always been the driving force. I started using SoundTracker and after Med1.0 was released I begun to use it. I have been using Octamed since...version 4 was really the best musiceditor for any platform and I still continue using it when composing sample-based music. On MIDI songs I use SoundStudio as V4 has quite primitive options for MIDI ... Well, I quess it's "Jazzy High" as it reached 4th position at Assembly'99. Quite funny actually as I think it was one of the easiest tunes I have done for a looong long time...perhaps I was having one of those 'inspiration-sections' of my life... :) A lot of the older ones should vanish from the face of earth. Mainly because of ripped samples as I didn't have a samples, and for some tunes I have ripped a small part of other song which I am not really proud. On the other hand I might have needed that extra help to get me going and get better, rather than frustrating myself and leave the whole musicbiz... Just as important as coding or graphics. The just released T-Zero shows how well a game can be programmed and how nicely graphics should be drawn for every game. And then it has these awful musics and terrible soundeffects which makes it really irritating to play. When it comes to demos it's even more important. A demo should always be synchronized to the music...other wise it's only a row of effects with no meaning... Not as much as I used to because of my work. And mainly for leisure purposes but I am working on a cd with a friend of mine which might lead us halfway to professional musicbusiness...we'll see... MIDI was of course a very welcome standard...and soundcard developers almost always include GM-MIDI in their cards so everybody can hear them, not only musicians with expensive piece of hardware. MP3 sucks...it messes up the music in Dolby equipment and there for a useless unless the music is heard from some monitors speakers... Can't really name a few tunes as there are so many. Composers like Heatbeat and Jester has 10ths of magnificent tunes and I still like to listen to them. "Scrambled Mind", "Day by day" and "Bubblegum" must be my absolute favourites from Heatbeat, "Stagebox" and "Cyber ride" are Jesters best tunes ever. Yes, hopefully in the Jan/Feb of 2000 ... hopefully... Pet Shop Boys, Phil Collins, Fatboy Slim, Chemical Brothers, Crystal Method ... the list is endless... Friends, good time, partying, alternative to boring real life ... Yes, very much. More active than ever. I want to greet all those people who have been THERE from the day 1 and are still active...I salute you! :) And who the fuck is Bill Gates ???? !!!!???? ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- please note: this interview is ©opyrighted in 2001 by crown of cryptoburners ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
