  • 1-How did your interest for computers start? Which year was that?

  • I think I was somewhere around 6 years old at 1981; my neighbours had
Vic-20 and some Colecovision or something, and I frequented them.

  • 2-What machines did you previously have? What did you do with them?

  • History goes for owned computers: C64, Amiga500, Amiga1200 (with HD),
and afterwarda plenty of different PC's.
I mostly played games with them, but tried some composing with sequencer
software and synth with Amiga500. Also a couple of bad mods with A500
    and A1200.

  • 3-For what specific reason did you end up making music rather than gfx, coding?

  • Coding=too boring, Gfx=too limited with current tools, Music=trackers
and composing with sequencer simply was easiest and most fun.

  • 4-Which composing programs have you been using? Which one in particular?

  • Can't recall what was the name of the sequencer for A500, but it had 24
tracks, and it wasn't one of the most pirated ones (mine was bought). It
    wasn't Bars'n'pipes, and I don't ever recall that I'd seen it anywhere.

  • 5-With which module did you feel you had reached your goal?

  • None of them, which isn't surprising since I released only one.

  • 6-Is there a tune you would like not to remember? For what reason?

  • Thankfully I kept all of them to myself minus the aforementioned one.

  • 7-In your opinion, what's the value of a music in a demo, game?

  • It can save the game or demo. As c64 taught us; no matter how bad the
game is, you still play it to hear your favorite tunes (if you can't
    listen them separately).
I'm a bit depressed of a new trend to put list music into games like
they do in movies. It just doesn't cut. Individually composed pieces are
    better in both medias.

  • 8-At present, are you still composing? For professional or leisure purposes?

  • I really don't have time for composing due my job.

  • 9-What do you think of today's pieces of music such as mpeg,wave,midi,etc...?

  • They are all good. The method isn't important.
Still, mods and sids have a very unique characteristics; with sids I'm
impressed by sheer tunes, while with mods I'm mostly impressed with
pieces that are hard to implement with trackers, or are minimalistically
created while still sounding professional and good. Many of the mods
    have great tunes too!

  • 10-Could you tell us some of your all times favourite tunes?

  • They are all from the games, since they "etch" into your mind better
than demos (which are often equally good).

On Amiga I think they must be from game Shadow of the Beast or Bionic
    Commando.

On c64, I like most the main and game tunes from the game Firefly. Of
course high on the list are Lightforce, Warhawk, Last Ninja, the usual.

On PC and consoles there is no match for Driver(1), Interstate'76 and
Outlaws. Also Magic and Mayhem and David Bowie's take on game music, The
    Nomad Soul.

  • 11-Are you planning to make an audio cd with some of your music remastered?

  • Hell no! ;D

  • 12-What bands are you currently listenning to?

  • Finnish progressive metal band Manitou, Dream Theater, Afro Celt Sound
    System, David Bowie, Type-O-Negative

  • 13-What does/did the amiga/c64 scene give you?

  • Great music and awesome techical demos! Endless partyscrolls to read.

  • 14-Are you still active in the scene these days?

  • No.

  • 15-Anyone to greet? Anything left to say? Feel free...

  • My best regards to all mod and sid makers: you composed so many
unbelievable great pieces, that I think they last my whole life! :
