  • 1-How did your interest for computers start? Which year was that?

  • My father bought a Vic-20 in 82.. Since the casetteplayers had`nt arrived in
Norway yet, I had to program the software myself in basic. I guess it was the
    programming that got me hooked

  • 2-What machines did you previously have? What did you do with them?

  • Vic-20 : games ofcourse :)
C-64 : games and later demos
Amiga : games, demos & finally tracking

  • 3-For what specific reason did you end up making music rather than gfx, coding?

  • First of all I`ve played keyboards since ever, allways loved music.
When I got my amiga in 87, I also got this disk labeled "soundtracker" and
another "st-01" I finally figured out how to load a "song", and was amazed
by the interface and sound of the thing!

  • 4-Which composing programs have you been using? Which one in particular?

  • On the amiga I used Sound - & Protracker
On PC I started out with Fasttracker, but now I use ReNoise a lot.

  • 5-With which module did you feel you had reached your goal?

  • Hmm.. don`t know, really.. Made A LOT of modules over the years...
The "Smurph" thing was a funny thing to do, as we had to time the music so
stricktly to the coding.. but if I reached my goal with it? hardly! :D

  • 6-Is there a tune you would like not to remember? For what reason?

  • Abb... hehe.. well.. The "Joggetur-i-parken-sang" used in our "Lo-Fi Ha`Ko`"
demo maybe.. Both me and mr. Slummy had quite a few beers to much that
    evening. But it was fun!

  • 7-In your opinion, what's the value of a music in a demo, game?

  • The music is what states the mood of a demo. Turn off the speakers and see
if the demo still kicks that ass..

  • 8-At present, are you still composing? For professional or leisure purposes?

  • Yes, I`m still composing, as if not as much as before..
When I`m at the keys, I`m making modules for Spaceballs demos..

  • 9-What do you think of today's pieces of music such as mpeg,wave,midi,etc...?

  • In demos? I`ve seen pc demos with mp3 soundtracks, and ofcourse; cool as h..
After all, we amigamusicians have allways dreamed of more patterns :)

  • 10-Could you tell us some of your all times favourite tunes?

  • All demotunes from 88 to 90! Hehe, but seriously..
I`m a big fan of old amiga demo modules, such as old X-men, Kefrens, RSI and so
on.. The classic Obarski tunes "Amegas", "Crystalhammer" and "Sleepwalk" are
    also amongst the top 10.

  • 11-Are you planning to make an audio cd with some of your music remastered?

  • Nopes. I`m currently working in studio with my band on a cd release.
I think I`ll let my tracked music stay on computers :)

  • 12-What bands are you currently listenning to?

  • Progressive & Neoprogressive rock are all time favourites!
Bands like Eloy, Marillion, Twelfth Night & Yes are played daily.

  • 13-What does/did the amiga/c64 scene give you?

  • First a LOT of good friends, and and nowadays a LOT of good memories!

  • 14-Are you still active in the scene these days?

  • Yes. Still making music in Spaceballs, and do not plan to retire either ;)

  • 15-Anyone to greet? Anything left to say? Feel free...

  • Ahh.. First of all to Skydiver and Baffle for making Amiganostalgia possible!
Second to everyone I have met during the old amigadays and do not see that
often nowadays! May the Scwartz be with you all!
