I played games on C64 for a while, then started making music on the Amiga 500, later on 1200. I never had the patience to code, and no interest in gfx. I've always played the piano, so it was natural to be "the musician" of my friends. Protracker mostly, a couple of modules in Fasttracker. None of them, hehe. Well, I remember being happy about the piano sound in Jammin' in the wind, and trying to make a realistic piano sound was always a struggle of mine. Actually I don't remember almost any of them, only about 5-6. So the ones I wanted to forget is already forgotten. Demos/games without music is like movies without music. Music can underline anything that happens, and enhance every aspect of a demo or game. Not composing, no. Midi has many strenghts for composers and producers, but I think mp3 will stay the preferred electronical format for end users for a long time still. Just for blues & Banana Split / Di33y Fenalaar & pils / Don Cato Jammin' for nothing, Move-ment-al & bicykl0pedia / Heatbeat Alcoholic score & 70s reprise / Audiomonster Hehe, there's absolutely no way I would want to do that. Anja Garbarek, Liszt, Robert Johnson, Kapustin, Schumann, Bach. In the long run probably only experience with computers which have helped me in my music technology classes at the Norwegian State Academy of Music. However, I remember having a lot of fun making music and with my other amiga friends. No. I had no idea there still was a scene to be active in! To my old partner Heywood; thanks for the cooperation and the ping-pong matches! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- please note: this interview is ©opyrighted in 2005 by crown of cryptoburners ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
