But that's so long ago I can't remember what year that was exactly.. must've been around 1984-85. And the interest grew ever since... computer became cooler, you could do more and cooler stuff with it and got connected to the scene at one point when I found the existance of trackers. after my brothers vic-20 and c16, my own first was the c64, played games with it and did a LITTLE bit of hacking.. that wasn't too hard back then so.. then from crappy 8086 up to pIV now.. And been mainly making music with them since the 386. ehh.. I"ve just always felt more attracted to music than to gfx.. In my early scene days I've also did some 3d modelling, but that just faded away somehow and music was all there was for me. from mod-edit to fasttracker. Then multi tracker followed by Acme's polytracker which I've been using for up to the year 1996. Then I started to get midi gear and first ran cubase which has become logic now for a year. During the scene days I really loved PT. It was very convenient to have someone able to edit the sourcecode to add or alter things about the tracker. So we had some options not available in other trackers at that time. But now I'm just addicted to logic. It's all so power full. Midi and audio wise.. Softsynths rule too btw. eh.. I've never really reached my goal, but one important one for me was defenitely the 303 tune! nope. not really.. except maybe for the really first tunes I ever made.. I don't have them anymore but I just know they were terrible! :) Still it's all part of history and wouldn't do what I do now without them. So I don't want to forget any of them. half the experience... When done properly, music and visuals work together side by side. That's when you really get involved in the show. when it's got feeling. Can't have that without music. I'm still composing yeah.. mainly for a new racing game coming end 2002. So it's professional. ehm, if you mean all the different formats, then well, it's all good! or bad, it's just what ever the result is you hear... (I don't really get the question I think) orbital-are we here (it's got sooooo much groove.. man..) ehh.. for the rest I don't really have bigtime fav's... no ehm, mainly dance mixes :) (john digweed, darren emerson, the global underground series rock! :) and some radiohead, always a bit of orbital, future sound of london, david axelrod, dj shadow, depeche mode, etc nothing? :/ ehm.. well.. I really liked amiga and c64 demos say 8 years ago.. They were really stunninng.. So they defenitely have inspired me then. Which I'm gratefull of now.. nah.. not really active. hi all! Keep the scene alive! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- please note: this interview is ©opyrighted in 2001 by crown of cryptoburners ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
