  • 1-How did your interest for computers start? Which year was that?

  • i ve got an VC 20 for christmas by my grandma.. it was 1982 then or
so.. before that i had (and still have.. ) an atari VCS.. dunno why,
i was always fascinated by computers..

  • 2-What machines did you previously have? What did you do with them?
  • as mentioned atari VCS, Commodore VC 20, Commodore C64, Commodore Amiga,
3 MSdos PCs, Umax Apus 3000 Mac Clone (still have this one for working
purposes.. ) and a Atrai ST for making Music

  • 3-For what specific reason did you end up making music rather than gfx, coding?

  • For coding i lack mathematical thinking and logical combining :-)) and
for gfx.. i made some but was too bad for releasing any.. :-)) although
nowadays it´s my job making gfx for marketing and promotion things..

  • 4-Which composing programs have you been using? Which one in particular?

  • On Amiga protracker of course and later Bars n Pipes as Midi sequenzer..
and another Tracker based program i don´t remember the name.. :-))

  • 5-With which module did you feel you had reached your goal?

  • Dunno.. none i guess... the hardware was too limitated to reach any goal..

  • 6-Is there a tune you would like not to remember? For What reason?

  • no.. of course i ve made a lot of bullshit too... but they weren´t
    released anytime..

  • 7-In your opinion, what's the value of a music in a demo, game?

  • Huge.. it´s the main thing to transport emotions during a game or demo..
more for a game.. just imagine watching a movie without sound..
it´s rubbish.. the actors can be the ultimate best, but without sound
there is no thrilling, no sad feelings, etc..

  • 8-At present, are you still composing? For professional or leisure purposes?

  • Half Professional.. i am composing techno tunes in a quite wirde range of
variations.. most of them are released on my own label called Maelstorm
    Recordings..

  • 9-What do you think of today's pieces of music such as mpeg,wave,midi,etc...?

  • as i am doing midi stuff for myself it´s the way to go.. others are only
for interest in music for computerpublishing stuff.. Multimedia
presentations, internet (real audio) and such things.. nowadays you can´t
get a releasable quality for records just with soundcard composings..

  • 10-Could you tell us some of your all times favourite tunes?

  • since i am just listening to techno and electronic music i don´t have
a alltime favourite.. it changes every week..

  • 11-Are you planning to make an audio cd with some of your music remastered?

  • no

  • 12-What bands are you currently listenning to?

  • I always like the stuff from collogne.. Air Liquide, Burger INK, Bionaut
etc.... More dancable things.. like Jeff mills.. Detroit stuff.
Aquaviva, Plastic Man... and so on.. can hardly remember names.. :-)))

  • 13-What does/did the amiga/c64 scene give you?

  • I learned a lot about how business works.. .. how you can use
telecomunication... in a easy and cheap way.. :-)) how to get friends
in a lot of countries all around the world.. how to work with several
people to reach a goal... who is bad and who is mad...
i have seen and took part of many things alot of people can´t even imagine..

  • 14-Are you still active in the scene these days?

  • no, i quit 1994

  • 15-Anyone to greet? Anything left to say? Feel free...

  • Unfortunately i lost a lot of guys out there since i quit.. the only
person i meet from time to time is heiko/scoopex.. so if there is
anybody out there and wishs to get in touch with me again to share some
thouhgts.. feel free to use my email.. bye
