  • 1-How did your interest for computers start? Which year was that?

  • My interest started because my dad bought a C64 for me and my brother
in 1982/1983 I think. I think the best game concepts are written for this
machine! I played a lot of games and was hooked on the music of certain games.

  • 2-What machines did you previously have? What did you do with them?

  • C64, Amiga, PC's, Casio CZ 101 (wich I got from a guy who wrote Sonic Arranger),
Yamaha SY22, Roland JV-880 module, Yamaha A3000. I sold all 2 years ago
    and bought propellerheads Reason instead.
With the C64 and the Amiga i don't do stuff annymore.
But I try to make a living with my PC's making website's and internet
    solutions.

  • 3-For what specific reason did you end up making music rather than gfx, coding?

  • Well I Liked to express myself creating weird sounds and music. As i said before
i Liked the sound of the C64 a lot, because of it's unique sound.
Being limited in some form with the 4 channels of the Amiga was fun too.
Creating and simulating C64 sounds and music was a lot of big fun.
Creating gfx can be fun too but creating music is just it.
On the other hand I nowadays do more coding than writing music.

  • 4-Which composing programs have you been using? Which one in particular?

  • On the Amiga I used
    Carsten obarsky's Soundtracker
then I met Brian Postma at a local computer gathering.
I used Brian Postma's Soundmon a lot and made a lot of music with it.
It is still a great programm but i rather prefer Propellerheads Reason nowadays.

  • 5-With which module did you feel you had reached your goal?

  • All of them!

  • 6-Is there a tune you would like not to remember? For what reason?

  • hmmm.. nope.

  • 7-In your opinion, what's the value of a music in a demo, game?

  • The value is fucking high. The admosphere can be pushed and emphasized to
an certain level. It is therefore very difficult to create the
right admosphere wich most of the people will like! It has to be
as unique or as crazy as the visual atmosphere.
Music is and will be a magic and chemical thing!
It does more with your feelings than a picture!

  • 8-At present, are you still composing? For professional or leisure purposes?

  • At the moment I still compose, but on a irregular basis. I just do not have
time anymore. And when I compose something... it is almost never finished and
    completely for my own pleasure.

  • 9-What do you think of today's pieces of music such as mpeg,wave,midi,etc...?

  • I don't really have a problem with the different kind of formats, if
the music is great, i really don't mind!

  • 10-Could you tell us some of your all times favourite tunes?

  • hmm.. i have to think about that one.... I really liked some
songs of Uncle Tom. But there are some I liked a lot:
    Klisje paa Klisje by Pink
Turrican II title song by Chris huelsbeck

  • 11-Are you planning to make an audio cd with some of your music remastered?

  • Nope. Maybe in the near future you will be able to listen to some
    stuff I recently made online.

  • 12-What bands are you currently listenning to?

  • None.. I listen to all kinds of music, i have no particular favoite band.

  • 13-What does/did the amiga/c64 scene give you?

  • Lots of fundamental fun and great drinking! ;>) Cheers!

  • 14-Are you still active in the scene these days?

  • No. But hey I can make a great scene!

  • 15-Anyone to greet? Anything left to say? Feel free...

  • Everyone who is/was interested in my music!
