  • 1-How did your interest for computers start? Which year was that?

  • I think it must have been around 1986 or 1987. My uncle bought a Amiga 500 at
that time and I was imediately addicted to this cool machine.

  • 2-What machines did you previously have? What did you do with them?

  • I previously had an Oric, an C64, an Amiga 500, an Atari ST and several PCs
    starting with a 486 DX 33, a K6-2 200, a K6-2 350 and an Athlon 600. Today I
still own my beloved Amiga 1200/040 and a Amd Athlon at 1333Mhz. I used all
of them for just anything. Ok, I only gambled with the C64 and the Atari. But
with my Amigas and PCs I always made music, gfx, gaming and coding.

  • 3-For what specific reason did you end up making music rather than gfx, coding?

  • Well, actually I'd like to do some gfx, but I'm simply too bad at that stuff...
and I do code. I did Assembler on Amiga and I am currently coding in Java and
C++ on pc. But in the end music is where my heart belongs. I know there are
many trackers that are more talented and better at doing my music, but hey,
it's mine. I always tried to express my feelings through my music and so it's
    what I love most.

  • 4-Which composing programs have you been using? Which one in particular?

  • Well, I started using good ole Soundtracker, there was Startrecker, Sonic
Arranger and MusicLine on the Amiga side. I did most stuff with Protracker 3.55
and 3.61 I think. On the pc side I used Fasttracker and today Modplug Tracker,
but also Cubase, Cakewalk and some Softsynths...

  • 5-With which module did you feel you had reached your goal?

  • Well, there's no particular one. I like my stuff as it is. I only release stuff
that I can identify with. Though there are some unreleased mp3s in my collection
which are quite nice to listen to but also quite unfinished

  • 6-Is there a tune you would like not to remember? For what reason?

  • No, I like my tunes nevertheless. Surely there are some bad ones, but I would
never release those. The only can have meaning to myself, sometimes I listen
to them as bad as they are, and it's like a time travel, like looking at old
photos. There are some nice memories attached to these and that's why I keep
    them.

  • 7-In your opinion, what's the value of a music in a demo, game?

  • Difficult question. It's an important part, that's clear. I remember watching
Arte for the very first time. Man, what Moby did was simply impossible for me
at that time, or the great State of the Art music by Vinnie. Or, or, or...
Music can make a demo or game quite unique, stress athmospheres and emotions
and a very good demo or game has very good music.

  • 8-At present, are you still composing? For professional or leisure purposes?

  • I will always keep composing in any way. It's an important part of my life and
will always be. I'd like to do some commercial stuff but unfortunately there
seems to be not so great an interest in my style of music at the moment.
Probably in the future. Let's wait and see.

  • 9-What do you think of today's pieces of music such as mpeg,wave,midi,etc...?

  • I think every format has it's advantages. My opinion is: use the format that
best suits your need to a specific idea. If I like I take my synth and do some
midi's convert them to mp3 or whatever, and if I don't I grab my tracker and
    do the stuff there.

  • 10-Could you tell us some of your all times favourite tunes?

  • Well, The tunes from Arte are definitily some of the best, I love the intro
track of Fantastic Voyage, I like some of Vinnies tracks and Jogeir Liljedahl
is kind of God. Also Chris Huelbecks Turrican 2 intro tune is really great.
My ourdays tracker god is Quasian though. He does very cool Metal and Funk
    stuff.

  • 11-Are you planning to make an audio cd with some of your music remastered?

  • Yes and no. There will not really be remastered versions of for now, but I'm
planning to release an audio cd probably at the end of this year. There will be
a lot of stuff on it, but for now nothing is clear. I very busy with my study
here and don't know how much time there will be left...

  • 12-What bands are you currently listenning to?

  • In real life I enjoy black, death metal and nice gothic bands like Opeth,
Katatonia, Soilwork, The 3rd and the Mortal, Type o Negative, Flowing Tears,
Tiamat, King Diamond, Eternal Tears of Sorrow, Cradle of Filth, Borknagar,
Moonsorrow and so forth, I actually listen to quite a bit of music :)

  • 13-What does/did the amiga/c64 scene give you?

  • I never really was in the "scene". I did help my brother a bit who did some
music for Animators' blind people simulator. But the scene did impress me quite
much. I still love to watch the great old demos, the nice music. In a way the
scene showed to me that there are other values than money and an easy life. Some
of those people sacrificed their lifes for the scene.

  • 14-Are you still active in the scene these days?

  • No, as I never really was.

  • 15-Anyone to greet? Anything left to say? Feel free...

  • Well people, keep on tracking...
