  • 1-How did your interest for computers start? Which year was that?

  • My father bought a 286 around 1994, I was just starting high school.Before
that I had always had a great desire to own any of my friend's
computers, either Atari,Spectrum or C64. Spent a lot of time playing
great games. Anyway, whe we had the PC that's when it all really started for
    me.

  • 2-What machines did you previously have? What did you do with them?

  • As I said, I started with PC 286, used PC speaker to start with,
then DAC and finally got GUS MAX. My friend showed me the world of tracked
music and I got hooked immediately.

  • 3-For what specific reason did you end up making music rather than gfx, coding?

  • I had always had special passion for music, being
an educated musician, playing clarinet and recorder in a band for
years, the choice was obvious. Tried GFX a bit and dumped that. :)
I've always been crap in any drawing/painting activities. And code? No
    way, I hate coding. :)

  • 4-Which composing programs have you been using? Which one in particular?

  • I started with TETRAMOD, similar to Modedit, than switched
to the amazing Scream Tracker 3 and finally got to Impulse Tracker. I have
been using Impulse Tracker since 1996 and still am using for fast works.
I have started with MIDI sequencing two years ago. Using lots of SW
synths + some MIDI sequencers like Cubase/Reason etc etc.

  • 5-With which module did you feel you had reached your goal?

  • I really like my MC6 entry, Space Pop which got some very posivite
feedback. The creative level is very high, the sound/technical
levels not that much, though. It took 6 months and I think I haven't
achieved the same 'vibe' in another module ever since. It was rather
exceptional production for me. That's why this one really
    stands out for me, personally.
Still, it's not over yet, there is more to come (hopefully) :)

  • 6-Is there a tune you would like not to remember? For what reason?

  • Ehm, all the MODS I called 'the first generation'. The very
beginning. Ouch, hurts my ears. I think I've got them somewhere twice packed
and password sealed. Believe me , it's a true pain. Brr, gives
    my chills, still.
Apart from that I really like most of my tunes, honestly. :)

  • 7-In your opinion, what's the value of a music in a demo, game?

  • Music is really important, if You have crap code but great music, the
demo is still worth watching, but what is a great code for if the music is
    crap? You get the picture?

  • 8-At present, are you still composing? For professional or leisure purposes?

  • I'm kinda off the music since last year for various reasons, but I
will get back to my music as soon as possible and try to get the most of it.
If I could make a living out of it, that would be a dream
    coming true. We'll see.

  • 9-What do you think of today's pieces of music such as mpeg,wave,midi,etc...?

  • Yes, it's nice having mp3/ogg/whatever format around, isn't it? At least for the
size matter. However, You lack the real TRACKED music sound, don't You? Old
timers will know what I mean.
Nevertheless, MIDI sequencing gives You a great chance to get as close to the
    real music market as possible.

  • 10-Could you tell us some of your all times favourite tunes?

  • Man this is a really hard question. Jogeir,Dr. Awesome, Captain, Dizzy, all
    the old timers.

  • 11-Are you planning to make an audio cd with some of your music remastered?

  • I'd love to, but I can't see that happening in near future.

  • 12-What bands are you currently listenning to?

  • All kind of stuff from classical to black metal. Not really the new stuff,
though. And definitely NOT main stream pop!

  • 13-What does/did the amiga/c64 scene give you?

  • Respect for real skill and talent to squeeze impossible things out
    of those machines.

  • 14-Are you still active in the scene these days?

  • I still try to follow what's going on but have very limited time.
But I can't call myself ACTIVE these days, no.

  • 15-Anyone to greet? Anything left to say? Feel free...

  • The whole SK amiga/c64/pc scene, old #scene.cs guys, everyone I
    know and who knows me.
