  • 1-How did your interest for computers start? Which year was that?

  • In 1986 I got a Commodore 64 + 1541 disk drive, this started my interest

  • 2-What machines did you previously have? What did you do with them?

  • That C64 stopped working in 1996 or so, I use it for spareparts for my
current working C64. I also have an Amiga500 sitting mostly unused...

  • 3-For what specific reason did you end up making music rather than gfx, coding?

  • Well, I also do gfx and coding for my own productions (especially on C64)
    but I guess I'm a musical personality.

  • 4-Which composing programs have you been using? Which one in particular?

  • For the C64, various selfwritten editors (Sadotracker, Ninjatracker,
Goattracker-which is a crossplatform prg.), as I like to always have full
knowledge of what the playroutine is doing :)
On Amiga I used Protracker, and on PC, FastTracker II and nowadays
    ModplugTracker.

  • 5-With which module did you feel you had reached your goal?

  • Hard to answer for C64, music for the game Metal Warrior II has probably
my most successful use of melodies so far.
On PC it was probably the first time I used guitar riff+vocal samples
effectively (Forest of Evil, 1996 :))

  • 6-Is there a tune you would like not to remember? For what reason?

  • Not really

  • 7-In your opinion, what's the value of a music in a demo, game?

  • It creates immersion and atmosphere, and can also raise various emotions
    in the listener.

  • 8-At present, are you still composing? For professional or leisure purposes?

  • Yes, on C64 and PC, I guess they're leisure purposes as I'm not making
    money out of it :)

  • 9-What do you think of today's pieces of music such as mpeg,wave,midi,etc...?

  • Wav is of course an ineffecient storage format :)
Midis tend to be too dependent on the system they're played on (sounds
    different on different soundcards)
Of Mpeg audio I have no specific complaints. Of course, all audio-stream
formats lose the original source information of notes/patterns and such,
so I prefer formats with them intact.

  • 10-Could you tell us some of your all times favourite tunes?

  • On C64, the Sanxion Loader
On Amiga, Shadow of the Beast & Turrican I-II music
On PC, tunes from tracked metal artists such as Samael, Skarf etc.

  • 11-Are you planning to make an audio cd with some of your music remastered?

  • I feel no need for that :) I rather continue making new music on C64
    & PC

  • 12-What bands are you currently listenning to?

  • Agent Steel, Gamma Ray, Iron Maiden, Manowar, Immortal, Isengard, Burzum,
Mayhem, to name just a few.

  • 13-What does/did the amiga/c64 scene give you?

  • Lots of inspiration, great productions, sustained interest in taking the
most out of aged hardware (c64 scene especially), nice people (c64 scene
especially, I don't really know much Amiga guys)

  • 14-Are you still active in the scene these days?

  • Yes, mostly in C64 tools creation & gamedevelopment.

  • 15-Anyone to greet? Anything left to say? Feel free...

  • Greetings to CreaMD/DMagic, TMR/Cosine, R.Bayliss/TND, Hoild/CID,
    Cybernator/Cybertronic Studios, Pixman/Paradise/AOD, Big User/PTV + rest
    of Protovision crew, Ninja/TheDreams, Goat/Laxity, Jazzcat/Onslaught,
    Taper/Triad, Nafcom/POL, Six/DLoC
