Then i got inspired by assembler, i wrote some demos etc. In 1988 i bought my Amiga 500 and started seriously to code. See above. In fact, first i used to code a lot and i've done some gfx too. But music came and took my mind. I've also played cello, piano and drums, so music was/is very close to my heart. Mainly good old Soundtracker (Protracker, lately), Fasttracker on PC and of course my own musiceditor -Arpeggiator- (i made player and Mika Keskikiikonen wrote the editor). The GOAL is still far away ... -- Very important. If the background music is good, you don't even notice it ! But if it is bad or there is no music at all ... you certainly notice it... Mainly for leisure purposes, but i have done few commercial songs for Virtual Visions Finland Oy and some marketing agencies. I would like to do it more and professionally, maybe someday. They are standards for representing/compressing music, it doesn't matter which format you use... music in digital form is providing lot of possibilities: distribution via internet, digital audio signal processing, good quality of sound etc. But after all, of course the content is the most important. >From different artists: Jeroen Tel: Cybernoid 1 & 2, That's the way it is, Deadline Rob Hubbard: Commando Martin Galway: Ocean loader Codex: Memorydust Bruno: Sonar, Stor och Liten, Uralvolga + all the other great songs ;) Surely. Pink Floyd, Elton John, David Bowie, ELO, Antiloop. It gave me lot of fun, good friends and programming skills ;) No. I would like to greet everyone i know in the scene. Also i thank my dear girlfriend Päivi for being such a lovely and supportive person. Carpe diem! Thanks. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- please note: this interview is ©opyrighted in 2001 by crown of cryptoburners ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
