  • 1-How did your interest for computers start? Which year was that?

  • Ups, it was in 1983, starting with some ridiculous vc-20. before that I was
"repairing" all kind of machines and electronics, especially pocket calculators
(the ones from sharp / tandy etc...)

  • 2-What machines did you previously have? What did you do with them?

  • I just owened this vc-20 and some amigas. but I spent a lot with other
    computers, let's say c64 and some ataris (shame... :) I never owened a c64.

  • 3-For what specific reason did you end up making music rather than gfx, coding?

  • Music is an expression of feelings. I can express my feelings better with music
than with gfx or coding. I never could paint or draw any kind of thing, but I
always had some synthesizers at home.

  • 4-Which composing programs have you been using? Which one in particular?

  • On amiga I used protracker (with all variations). on pc I used cakewalk 3.0,
nowadays I use cakewalk sonar (this one for free). protracker is a great
program and I use it on winUAE every now and then. st-01 rules! THEEG forever!
    yeah!!!

  • 5-With which module did you feel you had reached your goal?

  • You will never reach any goal when you are making music. music is a fluidum.
every day there is a new challenge. every piece of music is unique and you can't
    compare it with other music.

  • 6-Is there a tune you would like not to remember? For what reason?

  • No, I love nearly all my tunes. a tune worth listening is a tune worth
    composing, or so :)

  • 7-In your opinion, what's the value of a music in a demo, game?

  • Just imagine a demo without any music!? unbelievable boring with no specific
atmosphere! music and moving grafix is more worth than any hitech coding. just
think of the great budbrains megademos. no great code, but funny with lots of
gfx and music. or spaceballs! I love 'em :)

  • 8-At present, are you still composing? For professional or leisure purposes?

  • I am still composing, but only for me and my ears. noone wants to listen to my
tunes :) I even have to use headphones...

  • 9-What do you think of today's pieces of music such as mpeg,wave,midi,etc...?

  • The future of music will be surround sound. all present music is just two
dimensional, but surround sound will be the upcoming three dimensional future.
mp3 is alright but not suitable for professional audio. I think of mp5 with
Surround sound, yeah :))) but what the hell is midi? :)

  • 10-Could you tell us some of your all times favourite tunes?

  • Karsten obarski's tunes are just great. all mahoney & kaktus tunes are great.
gluemaster is great. there are so many great people who made great tunes. but
i don't believe that anyone will share my opinion... :)

  • 11-Are you planning to make an audio cd with some of your music remastered?

  • No.

  • 12-What bands are you currently listenning to?

  • Sigue sigue sputnik :) great stuff but all songs sound similar :)

  • 13-What does/did the amiga/c64 scene give you?

  • Nothing important. it was never my family. it was just some couple of friends
but there was another scene, called "reality". women are better than computers,
    right!?

  • 14-Are you still active in the scene these days?

  • No.

  • 15-Anyone to greet? Anything left to say? Feel free...

  • Greetnix to ted burning of course :)
